There are 4 major groups of true plants in the plant kingdom living today: bryophytes, pteridophytes, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. There are numerous differences between monocots and eudicots. In this video, I will go over some of the differences between these 2 clades/groups. Differences in flowers, pollen, seeds, leaves, stems, roots, and growth types.
Note, there are exceptions to many features used to distinguish between monocots and eudicots. That is why I use the term “usually and generally” throughout this video. Also keep in mind that about 2.1% of angiosperm plants don’t fit into the monocot or eudicot clade or group.
