I love this video - ferns are my favorite plants and this is such a well made, professional overview , very good job. I do have one thing to say about lycophytes though - just because I also love paleontology - for sure, modern lycophytes are all small, but during the paleozoic there was the order lepidodendrales (which i think are probably most closely related to spikemosses?), which could get enormous, i think some specimens are estimated at like 130 ft tall. I don’t think they had true wood though, more of a stiff stem like structure. It’s not necessarily a criticism that you didn’t include them in the video, I just think that they’re cool.

I did not know that. I’m no lycophyte expert or anything, but thanks for sharing.

@@earth4u7888 I’m currently trying on zoology. They just take a long time to put together because it’s only little old me making the videos. Thanks 😊

I thought ferns were polypodiophyta so I looked it up and it's saying pteridophytes includes polypodiophyta, as well as lycopodiophyta, and equisetophyta. I've never heard the term "pteridophyte" before. Thank you for sharing. They didn't say anything about psilotophyta. Would that be included in pteridophytes?

Nevermind, you answered that question at the end of the video😊 I'm surprised your channel doesn't have more subs. I really love your style. No music l, no pretentious intro, and not trying to win people over with editing and charm, and tangents about your day, just getting right to the point and sharing information. That is exactly what I look for in informational videos. As you must be aware, it's not very common to encounter that style of video creator. I appreciate that you respect your audience. That, and everything I mentioned above is why I subbed.

@@noeditbookreviews oh man…you made my night! 😊 Thank you for really nice comments. It meant a lot to me. With regard to subscriptions, Im just a stay at home mom/biologist that knows little to nothing about branding, marketing, or getting my content seen by people. I guess I just hope people stumble upon it, like my videos, and learn something new! Thanks again ❤️
