She uses to be funny and natural in her interviews, but this is just to forced and unnatural, like she's just repeating and reading an speech someone's obviouly wrote to damm fast. And as an actress, she's great, she was amazing in Winter's Bone or in blockbusters like X-Men and The Hunger Games (I liked the second one), but with David O Russell she overacts...A LOT. Even the girl from Beast of the shouthern wild was more natural acting than her. I respect her, but I don't this she deserved even being nominated for Silver Linning Playbook. Just my thought.

***** It's probably more stressful for the guests who only have a week to prepare, writing of the show included and then deliver live while they're used to doing several retakes. I think probably stand up comedians would be great on the show since they otherwise perform live and have to think fast and improvise to deal with hecklers or come up with a quip if their water bottle falls off the stand or something. Being invited to guest the SNL is more of a TV pop culture prestige thing and good PR and less about acting.

Kulascus Anyone who's seen SNL before knows that this was an okay-ish monologue and not a bad one. Lawrence is spontaneously, naturally funny. SNL type comedy is a different skill to master. It's incredibly hard to pull off an SNL monologue. Usually, only professional comedians manage to do it (Zach Galafianakis, Melissa McCarthy etc...).
