I’d tried out compass before but was a bit baffled by it. I really appreciate this walkthrough and look forward to trying it again soon!

Norns is easily a baffling thing, but I've finally got my head round some of it. This is a great demo of Compass, which I havent used yet. Def my next script to try.

Thanks. Glad you liked it, and I hope you find it helpful when you get that app on there! Yeah it's very baffling, but when you get even a bit of an idea of how it works, it's so powerful!

Interesting script. I was doing kinda the same thing on Digitakt with recorded sound loops and green triggers, but only in mono of course.

@pangea20033 жыл бұрын
that's really nice! are all those parameters midi mappable on the norns? also, what's your signal chain? cheers
@AndyDollerson3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Simple signal chain MonoPoly into desk, aux out into norns, back into desk, aux to reverb. Mains to logic. In terms of Midi, I think (off the top of my head) there are midi mappable options, but couldn't be 100% on that. The manual will say for sure!

Awesome video! I'm curious about how you have your audio signal running. Is the MonoPoly plugged directly into the Norns, or is it going to a mixer first? I really dig the other videos on your channel - that organelle video is great. You got an easy subscribe click from me!
@drewgriffith10373 жыл бұрын
...and I just saw your video about the BoredBrain unit!
@AndyDollerson3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate really appreciate the compliments. Yeah I’m running most things through a mixer. It could run straight to a Norns, but I like having the control of keeping the dry and wet signal separate using the aux on the mixer. Thanks for the sub!

Great video Andy! Thank you for sharing! Have you ever experienced ground noises coming out of the Nonrs?

Haha good! You won’t regret it! And just throwing it out there - one day, when I’m less busy I’d love to collab! Love your stuff. Do you have a website for your composition work?
@sergiosavini48173 жыл бұрын
Hi I'm new to the Monome World. After watching your video I get my Norns Shield and immediately tried this app. Too bad the web page where the Compass manual is (compass-manual.glitch.me) is down and I can't understand all the functions of this app. I was wondering if you could explain how to Randomise sequence parameters. Thanx in advance from Italy.
@AndyDollerson3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that mate. Page seems to be loading fine now. I believe it's a short press on Knob 2 (btm left) will randomise all the functions
