So Wonho´s situation started at the same time as the Follow comeback, he went on hiatus almost immediately, he just had time for a comeback stage and a couple public appearances at the very start of promotions for this era... So that´s why we were VERY concerned when Starship started releasing content without him, like this dance practice and an edited version of Follow replacing Wonho´s part and distributing it between the members... It was a very painful era full of uncertainty, confusion and anxiety for monbebe and MX, but putting that aside I think most monbebes will agree that this whole album it´s one of their bests! "Find you" became the OT7 anthem and a comfort song for us ^^

Idk why some people in the comments keep saying Wonho went on a hiatus, he did not. He was with the boys for 2 days after the mv dropped and then he left very suddenly. It was such an awful time for us. 😭 The boys had to change and relearn their choreo and they were crying on stage. It broke my heart bc Wonho is my ult and knowing that SSE didnt do enough to protect him to the point where he thought the only way he could protect the boys from it was to leave.😭 We will FOREVER hate Starship for this. This wouldve been THE era but we were robbed. And this is the era that will forever go down in kpop history as the fandom who FOUGHT LIKE HELL to bring their boy back. We trended hashtags every day, we sent mass emails, we bought billbaords all over the world, sent LED trucks with mssages around korea telling Wonho to come back....I will never forget it....and we did all that and Starship ended up not giving him the chance to come back to the group. Wonho said it in a vlive with us saying that the ONLY way back to the fans was to become a soloist. This breaks our hearts bc he deserves happiness being with the boys. But we ARE thankful that he was able to come back to us at all as well. We love and support him always no matter what. I pray one day that SSE will let him do both group and solo that way he can be happy with his brothers again and he can continue doing his solo work as well like many other idols do. Sorry for the essay...Follow era was one of the roughest times of my life and we all went through a roller coaster of emotions. Thank you for reacting to Monsta X and for loving all 7 as Wonho would want. ♡ I am enjoying watching you on your Monbebe journey. Also, Wonho is the 2nd oldest in the group ( if what sse told us is his correct bday). Starship has changed some idols birthdays in the past to make the leader the oldest member and there are a few video clips from No Mercy (the show MX was formed on) and in Wonhos vlogs that state he was actually born a yr earlier which would make him the oldest but I guess we will never know bc he laughs the question off every time and says he is not older. The company Starship Entertainment gave them several group names and they ended up with Monsta X. In French Mon means my, so it's like saying My Star. Meanwhile the fandom name was by the members themselves. The fandom name Monbebe is in French "Mon" again meaning 'my' & "Bebe" means 'baby'. If you are in love with the Tiki Taka between Jooheon and IM, you should watch their "Sambakja (also known as triple rhythm) performance". That would blow your mind off. And they both released their own mixtapes and solos too. Unfortunately, yes this music was produced and released (October 28th 2019) before Startship announced Wonho departed from the group (October 31st 2019). And yes, they had to re-choreograph the whole dance practice (released November 17th 2019). Wonho's part was not edited in the MV as it was already released, but in the dance practice the members sang his parts. The same will happen to all their previous songs and choreographies. Yes it really sucks, especially he was proven innocent. Fortunately he has released great songs and is doing well as a solo artist under a sub-company of Startship Entertainment. You see, no matter how ridiculous we feel about this, it's hard to have control over how the company works/culture locally in South Korea. In South Korea you can be idolized and be thrown out of the industry in just one day. I don't have a good guide to them caused I became a fan only in 2019 and watched everything on youtube about them haha. They were so underrated. But good news they are slowly getting more coverage in South Korea. They have a loyal international fan base. Do you know they released a full english album in 2020 called "All about luv", its a no skip album. Reminds me a lot of the OG back in the 90s.

@@k8tastrophe your feelings are legit. I came to support them after the whole fiasco. Went to watch all their variety shows, promos and video to know about them and Wonho is such softie. My heart broke for him and what happened. And the fans really trended him on social media to get him to return to the group. Nevertheless I hope despite all the hurt it caused you, their existence itself heals you too. Recently when Kihyun and IM went to Jeju and came back to Seoul on the same flight with Wonho, they got hated for that. I don’t understand how you expect people to just unfriend a person and make wonho invisible to his members. No matter how much I love the kpop idols, I can never understand the system that works behind it. The things these boys have to go through. Hugs to you. The Follow dance practice and live performances are still hard to watch. They look tired and upset because Wonho literally JUST left and they still had to perform without him. They were really strong I'm glad that time is over.

I wasn't a monbebe that time but I know Monsta X literally had to change their choreography overnight and even record the song again. They went through so much during that time and still continued with all the promotions. That was such a hard time for them and Monbebes. It really sucks even thinking about it.

the company came up with the fandom name monbebe. monbebe is french for "my baby" and so it follows the french pronunciation as for their age order, from oldest to youngest: shownu, wonho, minhyuk, kihyun, hyungwon, jooheon, i.m the news about wonho came out i believe 3 days after the release of follow so he didn't really promote follow. wonho never actually went on hiatus but left the group basically immediately after the news was released. as far as i know, it was his choice to do so in order to protect the group. immediate changes were made to the line distribution after he left and the rerecorded version is used in the dance practice video. the new formations just follow center as normal but i believe they tried to keep it similar to the original. there are some formations where you can see a gap for a 7th person. i have so much love and respect for these boys. starship did not let them take a rest so they promoted their song even though they were feeling upset and distressed over the whole situation. i think it takes a lot of energy and courage to be able to do that.

Follow was definitely a superior comeback! All the songs in the album are amazing (tbh, MX has not yet released a bad song)! The MV was released on the 28th of October, 2019. Then on the 30th, Wonho announced that he would be leaving... So he was in the MV and in a few initial physical appearances... But then they (quite hastily - I mean, literally in a day!) changed the line distribution and the choreography (not just for Follow, but also for Find You - a wonderful song in this album)... The boys worked so hard at that time and did such a amazing job fulfilling all their obligations (even though you can clearly see that they are sad and exhausted)... Shownu had lost a scary amount of weight (someone had created another scandal around him at the same time - fortunately it was resolved!), Minhyuk was seen breaking down before a performance, I.M was badly affected and, finally, Jooheon went on a 5 month hiatus (in early 2020) to recover from his mental health issues... It was a pretty bad time, but they all showed their strength by coming back as strong as ever - even Wonho, working so hard and restarting his career as a solo artist... I do hope you check out his MVs - they are SO GOOD! We are so happy and proud of all of them! Regarding their ages, Shownu and Wonho are the eldest (29), followed by Minhyuk, Kihyun, and Hyungwon (all around 28), then Jooheon (27) and finally the maknae I.M (25).. Also, you MUST check out Sambakja (concert performance) - Jooheon and I.M were Beasts! It is difficult to watch videos or performances in which Wonho's voice is heard, but he no longer participates. I think the important thing to rescue is that despite everything he was acquitted of everything and was able to continue with his artistic career. They are doing this dance practice based on the their live performance version which no longer includes Wonho. The opening lines of the song is supposed to be sang by him but if you listen, it’s Kihyun singing it in this version. It was a difficult time for the group so you don’t see them smiling much here. Just happy to see that they have grown stronger from this-Wonho and Mx, and pursuing their own paths. I am sure they are all still friends off-camera.

I'll say this: I watch a lot of anime, so I'd say I'm pretty good at reading subtitles while watching something. That said.... No way in hell am I paying attention to lyrics when watching MX 😂 I have to watch the MV multiple times to get it all because the visuals are ridiculous. And like many other comments have said, yes, this was wonho's last comeback. The music videos (because Find You was also released for these promotions) were filmed before the situation occured. He was on hiatus after the release before finally leaving the group. And yes, the choreo had to be adjusted, I believe kihyun took over his parts vocally.

You know... they performed this song on thursday at mcountdown as 7 member and the next day at music bank the cheography was changed from 7 to 6 member formation.. that's really heartbreaking when I watched it, not just because wonho leave the group (he left/terminating his contract the afternoon they have performed at mcountdown) but because the remaining member has to re-learned the choreo for 6 formation and of course re-recording the audio.. they all must be physically and mentally tired. That time was really really a hard time for all monbebe because we all know how wonho was and to hear the news he leave the group just....yeah couldn't believe it even until now.. Wonho is 93 born😁,and yes it was around that time :( when he departures from group,and for this choreography to come up they had literally no time also the award season was around they were undergoing a lot(Monstas7)of emotional roller coaster. Yess, wonho decided to leave the group in the middle of the Follow promotion, which was heartbreaking for all of them 💔.. they all had to re-arrange the choreo, singing part, if u noticed.. shownu lost his weight drastically 🥺 and all monbebes were so worried of him, and not long after that.. joohoney also had to stay hiatus for a few months due to anxiety🙁. Wonho's leaving really such a heartbreaking event for all of them and wonho ofc...

for Monsta X guides 'chaena' is definitly the one to go to, they've made a group guide with some general info and indvidual guides for the members to get to know them better. Most of the other guides focus more on the meme aspect but those ones are also pretty educational so yeah. There are other pretty well made group guides tho, but for individual content I would recommend those. Also Monbebe love Monsta X for everything they are so feel free to uplaod different hings than music elated stuff if you want to. Most of the members also have some solo stuff to check out.

I'm sure other monbebe have explained but yeah... Wonho left very suddenly right after the MV released and their first comeback performance of Follow. It was wild and painful times for everyone. I think the rest of the members rerecorded the dance practice at a later point in time, since they also had to change the choreo for live performances without him. Glad you got to check the song out! Follow was my first comeback with Monsta X. Not sure if this has always been the case, but from Follow to present they have always released the dance practice as a special video after the comeback (usually as a reward when the title track MV hits a certain number of views). In this case, Follow MV was released on Oct. 28th and Wonho left the group on Oct. 31st. This means they filmed the dance practice just days after he left. This is actually the first time I have rewatched this dance practice because the memories are so painful. In every other dance practice they look like they are having fun and enjoying themselves but in this one all I see is their anger/sadness and their professionalism. Almost 2 years later and all I want to do is stuff that dance practice video back in the vault of traumatic memories and slam the lid tight. 🥺

It's Kihyuns voice covering Wonhos parts in the DP. I think they had to learn to learn the positions, I think the moves generally stayed the same but they had to alter they positions. It is a sad time, Find You is still one of my favorites. I think it was released right around this time. I love them, such caring and genuine people

They have a plot that permeates all mv. Time travel, a difficult path, successes and mistakes, good deeds, going to the dark side, partings, they were scattered, there were troubles and misfortunes, they overcame difficulties. In Follow they were able to get together. The star exploded and they ascended. At the end it can be seen, an explosion, they were illuminated by the light and went up the stairs. In Fantasia they seem to be at an unattainable level. They are out of ratings, levels. They are above worldly vanity, above people. Follow and Fantasy may feels similar to you because of the instrument called “Taepyeongso neungge”. Like a pipe makes a little creaking sound. National Korean instrument. It’s definitely is in Follow. If I'm not mistaken in Fantasia too. The vibe is similar. In Follow they overcame all difficulties, figured out themselves, chose a side. They are steep and have conquered the main peak. And in Fantasia, they're just the coolest guys in the universe. Dressed in gold, swag crushed etc

Starship doesn't upload English lyrics immediately on the videos they release. They've only done it recently I think since Love Killa and uploaded subtitles for older videos as well. Whenever I watch any K-Pop groups MV I prefer to watch/listen to the song with CCs on. I like to take in the song and visuals first. I then watch a second time with CCs or I find a lyrics video.

In my personal rating of fandom names among K-pop groups their name is somewhere at the bottom (I simply hate word "baby" in every language, especially repulsive it sounds in Russian) along with Wonho's fandom name but his name actually takes my personal first place from the bottom for fandom name. Genius indeed. But if you're actually interested in what name takes actual first place from the top in my "coolest name" rating I still cannot decide whether it's 2pm or golden child.
