You should listen to their first English album, All About Luv. Their English releases showcases another side of their musicality. They said that their English album is a gift to their international Monbebes and I think thats the difference. Their English songs caters to their fans not so much as the western audience in general. Its a different type of music than they would normally do for their general comebacks but its still them--on point delivery, vocals, and performance. Not to mention their sincerity behind the music. They are not just doing this for western clout, they are committed to do their English projects for their fans to enjoy without the language barrier.

I love this song so much. It's one of my favorites. I lost someone 25 years ago and this song makes me feel hopeful that I'll see them again one day. This song is just so beautiful. Some groups do English songs that don't sound like them. Monsta X does English songs that sound like a different side of them...but still them.

Yeees Joohoney also kicked himself onto my bias throne hahah…the mx-rapline rules it together. For me I usually don’t like these super poppy sounding songs but for some reason MonstaX‘s English songs just hit differently! Someone’s someone even made it to my most listened song on Spotify without me realizing lol. I really enjoy your calm and honest reactions and the bird‘s too… chef‘s kiss taste 💛

Always love when ppl get shocked at Monsta X's English titles because the rappers get to show off their vocals. Kpop songs have a very standard formula to them and the members are shoehorned into their specific roles - minus Gambler because Jooheon specifically wrote and produced it - but when Monsta X makes English titles they all get to show off their vocals because their English songs are more western pop-inspired.

I liked the birds participating in the back though LOL I also have that kind of feeling with typical western songs where it feels like there's nothing new... in Monsta X case, I think their English songs give a feeling that makes it relatable even when the structure is like an american pop song, idk if I'm making sense here... ^^' When you can, check All About Luv album, specially Someone's someone (there's an MV for you to react!!)! I think the feelings I have with One day and Someone's someone are quite similar and I can't describe well.. it's bittersweet I think?

Monsta X ballad or slow songs.. makes you reflect yourself or think about it. It might seem simple but it gives their vocals and lyrics importance to emphasize the emotion of the song. This gives Someone's someone vibe too and Find You but with diff story.

I was waiting for you to react to this, since you've shown quiet a lot of interest in Monsta X. Yes this will be part of a full second english album. I don't know if you've heard their 1st english album All About Luv. But yes, I would say their English songs are totally different from their Korean songs. Reason being they wanted to show how dynamic they are in terms of musicality. They can do all kinds of genre to be honest, and rappers singing is not easy but obviously it shows how they are all vocals and their harmonies are so beautiful. I don't know if you've heard of their cover stage for Versace on the floor (Bruno Mars), it was just legit beautiful to listen too. Do react to that. You would be super SUPRISE of what Jooheon can do in that song. Trust me.

I completely agree with all you said..Kpop is my escape from the everyday" repetitive sameness" and almost predictable western music.It's not only great music but an artistic and a visual delight.!!.You get stimulus from every angle. I.M starting to sing was long process he felt very shy while sining at firt one of their firt songs where he sings is the version of Fighter where the memebers took lines of other memebers,his style of sining made the soong sounding like rock song it is actually really good along with Hyungwon and Minyuk rapping. At first when they started making music in english Changkyun was almost invisible on the track he sang as back vocal or in harmony so you coudn`t recognise him but with time he got more comfortable and now both he and Jooheon sing often in title tracks and bsides
