Before Shownu, there was no leader of his caliber in KPop. He is so humble & honest.... he wont even claim it or introduce himself as the leader of Monsta X. He gives away all credit, but takes the blame if anything goes wrong.. he has shared paychecks that he earned alone with the entire group and there’s even a musician (sorry I can’t remember specifically who it was) that has said that he asked if the parts in a song could be spread out more evenly cuz he noticed some of the other members didn’t get many lines.. meaning his own lines would decrease.. and the musician said that in his experience no matter how close the group is, with only so many parts to go around in a song, everyone only worries about themselves .. he said that action alone has set them apart from other groups and made him respect them.. I always tell myself that KPop isn't that deep (to keep myself level headed & because I'm too busy)... that is UNTIL folks or Antis come for our Appa Bear or his brothers (OT7). Then it really gets deep for me. It's almost like the haters are coming to snatch my happiness. That's why being a Monbebe is so special because only we know how our Kings sacrifice themselves for each other and for us. Like it's no joke. The story you are referring to is when he wanted Hyungwon to get more play for the song Beautiful... and that is just so beautiful.

@@cpollomoran4 I’m so glad you’ve heard of that story! I try to keep myself level headed as well... these are all just people after all.. but ya, for some reason Monsta X feels different to me.. I’ve always wondered in Kpop if the camaraderie is real or if they are playing to the camera because they have to.. but with our guys it really does seem genuine.. the way they always look to shownu for guidance before they say anything or act a lot of times.. when they take naps and stuff, they always cuddle up to him .. the way kihyun fan boys over him and tries to copy him .. the way jooheon treats him like a dad and they all call him apa or hyung.. and no matter how many times or ways they are asked they never have anything bad to say about him even as a joke.. it all seems so natural, you can tell he earned that respect.. even in no mercy days he took all the blame when they lost knowing full well that could’ve gotten him eliminated... I’ve asked myself why it seems like when they perform they look so much more in sync and polished than some other groups.. and I genuinely think that they work harder because they don’t want to disappoint each other .. you work harder when it’s not just for yourself.. sorry for the long comment.. I don’t get to talk to other monbebe often.. I just love Monsta X and Shownu and i know what you mean about them being your happiness.. they really do put me in a good mood.. it makes me so happy when I see a good performance or video or when they win and succeed or when I watch reaction videos and I see them get a new fan.. it really blows my mind that there are actually still people who don’t see what we do.. they are missing out! I’m so glad I became a fan or this year really would’ve been total crap! 😂
