Todd, that's what makes this all worth doing--- watching other people getting out there and experiencing topwater in a new way as I have ! By the way, thanks for all the photos of rally nice bass you sent. Didn't take you long ! Boom !

Nice lure and nice bass. But if you land that bass with your feet in the water why couldn't you be a little more careful with your release.

Marcus, I'm sure you are well meaning with your comment. I actually believe that release in that depth of water actually helps the fish on the release. The momentum gets them moving forward in clear open water. It was a short fight, and it was a quick release. You may have noticed he was very lively --- enough to start jumping and splash water on me. I actually have a lot of education and experience with keeping bass healthy. I have a degree in biology and environmental sciences. My specialty focus was Aquatic Ecology I have also had a 14,000 gallon fish tank in my back yard where I had many very big bass live long and well before their release. They even spawned and the bass fry grew up in the tank. Some of those fish starred in several fishing infomercials and were on TV shows. My tank had 3 large underground viewing windows, and it was lighted for night viewing with under water lighting. I miss that tank and those pet bass. My point is --- I've tossed many of those bass in that same way where I could see exactly what happened to them. Some of them had been returned to the tank after having been sick and were treated for various diseases and ailments in an isolated recovery tank. Because I use a video camera, I do not need to hold the fish out of the water too long to take a picture. So, I also don't need to hold him gently beside the boat swishing back & forth for 20 minutes or praying for him to swim away. Did you ever see them jumping for DragonFlies ? They like it a lot ! They jump higher than I tossed him. I still have many hours of video from that old fish tank, but the video is in DV format and not the the high quality that everyone has gotten used to on KZbin. Some very interesting things happened everyday in that tank though. Maybe I'll post some of it on KZbin. But now I'm talking too much on here. I don't write this much on my website, or say much in my videos. Marcus, I LOVE bass. I would never hurt them ! LOL ! Visit my website, email or give me a call. I'm easy to find and easy to talk to.

He didn't hurt that fish one bit. I've been catching bass, including big bass, here in Florida since 1969. And I fish today more than ever. You should see what the big females go through during the spawn. They are much tougher than you think they are. I know.
