Monster Category 5 Hurricane Beryl barrels towards Jamaica

FOX 13 Meteorologist Valerie Mills broke down the historic, monster Hurricane Beryl - now a Category 5 storm - as it barrels towards Jamaica. It is expected to remain a major hurricane when it makes landfall in Jamaica likely on Wednesday, although wind shear could weaken it slightly.

With record-high water temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean causing this storm to strengthen to Category 5, when Beryl enters the Gulf of Mexico with record-high Gulf water temperatures, not to mention the high water temperatures in the Gulf Loop Current, Beryl will only re-strengthen into a major hurricane.

Its already disapating. Its just a normal huricane. Records have been kept for only a few decades and accurate measurements for less than that. These "monster" "records" dont actually mean anything except to those who love sensationalism.

With the increased funding and modernization of the National Weather Service after the GAlveston, hurrican disaster, they got much better, mainly because of the radio, telegraph, and telephone, and the advent of airplanes that could actively seek out the location of a storm, and later drop radiotransmitting probes from the upper atmosphere And now we have artificial imaging satellites.
