: ) I think 131 vs 1 is a great ratio. There is always going to be hate, but as long as that is the amount versus the amount of love Im goooood. Shout out to you Michael from Skåne sweden

Skateboarding came from surfing, Hawaiians invented surfing, Hawaiians are colored people. The end.

Actually, surfing appeared in Samoa and Tonga about a thousand years before it showed up in Hawaii and the other eastern Polynesian islands. The point still stands, though: the deepest roots of skateboarding are in ancient non-white cultures. I'm a white guy and I'm telling everyone this all the time. Everyone needs to know. The whole "why are you trying to be [insert race or ethnicity]" thing is always weird when the people saying it don't know where a sport/athletic endeavor comes from. I've heard many variations of "why are you trying to be black" said to white guys playing basketball despite the fact that a white Canadian invented basketball to keep his white students fit. Everyone needs to know the origins of the sport/athletic endeavor they participate in. They also need to honor the specific individuals who created sport possible and take a second look at who they think really belongs, who "owns" the sport, and who's secondary/disposable/new/a joke/an exception to the rule. More knowledge, more respect, less ignorance, fewer assumptions.
