When he is talking about the shock oil - I would think that heavier weight oil would slow the suspension down and help prevent the "bouncing" he is talking about, rather than putting lightweight oil in. Maybe the heavy weight oil prevents the truck from using its travel so it's just bouncing on the tires? Thoughts? I'd think softer springs and thicker oil would be the answer if the car is hopping around too much. That's what the comp crawlers have got goin' on! Great video!
@JPRC8 жыл бұрын
The "bouncing" is referred to the whole truck as a result of lack of suspension travel due heavy oil(too stiff) . The spring weight is spot on out if the box so lighter oil will allow for more balanced ride.

Quick question for you. What types of battery packs do you run. Also, is there a way to help keep the batteries "safer" in water ? I just picked up an scx10 ii, 3 weeks ago, and I love it !!
@JPRC7 жыл бұрын
i run gensace 5000 map 2s and 3s lipo, most lipo battery are waterproof with exception of the connectors, if you seal the connector and balance plugs you are safe to run them under water. most of the time i just cut up latex glove and zip tie them for the balance plug to keep water away from balance and plug run them in water, snow and mud just fine.

I can't believe I just bought my Honcho and it came with the AX10 trans, and so does the raw builders kit. Why aren't they just putting the new trans in everything?
@JPRC5 жыл бұрын
MeGustaChuletas the updated ax10 gearbox in your honcho is actually better than the yeti gearbox. It shifts more weight to the front and it is better for up hill climbs.
@megustachuletas39565 жыл бұрын
@@JPRC Still wish they just ran all their new SCX10.2 rigs with the trans that came in your kit. Would cut down on confusion. Love your rig by the way! Now I need to get a Jeep XJ body!

+Mud catastrophe 70 I seriously thought you were joking as a way to complement the build. But this paint scheme is easily replicable u really want build it to truly make it your own.
@tootsieyt34228 жыл бұрын
+JPRC I was not joking... But I was also complementing the rig because is is amazing and bad ass.. I mean I don't exactly need your permission but you're fine if I were to get the kit and make it look like this? Almost identical?
