You said it~ In the beginning you have to rely on someone else saving you from them (Granberia and Erubetie), or the knights not being serious (Alma Elma and Tamamo). They're WAY outta your league, and can just brush you away. In the castle, it's more like an epic match against them as you've grown strong enough. I'll never forget the moment this music plays when Alma Elma takes her clothes off, it really tells you that 'Shit is about to go down'. And in the Four towers... Watching the knights go badass against the dolls that's created specifically to counter them is just, like you said, Crowning Moments of Awesome. Alma Elma can actually fight, Erubetie is willing to go through the extreme to protect the world, Granberia using the Quadruple Giga just by watching Luka did it once (and arguably did it better since she dodged an attack while charging it), and Tamamo... The shock I experienced when I see the "Word of Dispel" on her...

Alma elma is my favorite heavenly knight for so many reasons. But the one thing that makes me like her the most is her hidden self. Shes got a lot of untapped depth, but it comes out in the coolest way. The Succubus Queen, known all over the world for her irresistible charms and beauty, suddenly cracks her knuckles, then proceeds to pulverize every bone in your body then crush your head under her boot as she smiles down at you giggling. Even though shes got a devious side, shes really just a sweetheart whos putting up a facade and just likes to fight and have fun.

Erubetie is the best character amongst the Heavenly Knights IMO. Granberia was my "best girl" simply because i'm a huge sucker for the earnest, hard-working warrior archetype and she was kinda adorable. Tamamo is quite clearly the most important amongst them due to how big of a player she is. Alma has incredible stage presence and also has a lot more going on beneath the surface than one would initially assume. But overall Erubetie is the character who left the biggest impression on me & gave me the most to think about. She was fascinating to watch interact & develop, and is easily the Knight who developed the most as a character throughout the run of the game, with the development in question being well paced, well written & believable to me. Shes genuinely a top notch character and in my opinion, the best written.

I personally found Erebutie to be the hardest, mostly because she has two different grapples, one requiring struggle and the other binded attacks. Hate binds that make you guess whether you need to struggle or attack.

I hate that part about the game too. When it isn't clear if you have to struggle or attack. Though, I found once you figured that out, it was just a matter of saving SP for recovery and spirits. The thing that made Tamamo really hard for me was her high damage output and the ability to recover 11,000HP halfway through the fight. Another thing that contributed was being screwed over a lot more often during her fight. The power of wind and earth fading at the wrong times... And being hit by her nine moons attack super frequently... lead to me dying a tiresome amount of times.
