Amanda was such a bad Girlfriend Siding with literal facist over her BF cause she wasn’t getting enough attention and couldn’t get pregnant. It made her betray him 2 folds only to go running back when it blew up in her face. This in my opinion is what led Rex down his dark path. She was his anchor to humanity and this ruined it to the point where he cut off his painful emotions and become cold and efficient sea sad.

This is a comment from a year ago, but I still think she was in a strange way slightly justified. Both her and Rex had their own reasons for doing what they did. Rex's treatment of the royal family was only going to further the divide between them and the rest of the Zaxal population. If they truly wanted to create a utopia for all of the inhabitants of the planet I feel a happy medium between their two philosophies would've been the solution. I'm not going to pretend to be smart enough to have a solution to such a complex situation, but Rex essentially taking over the regime and being the new absolute leader clearly was objectively not a perfectly correct choice. That being said, infidelity is never justified and if there was complications in their relationship, that is the sort of thing that Monster Girl should've had an adult conversation with Rex about. Whether that conversation leads to a break up, the opening of the relationship, or any other situationship. It is much more helpful for everyone involved for there to be communication so that everyone's feelings can be understood. Being told that your significant other is no longer attracted to you can be painful if the feeling isn't mutual, however learning that that significant other cheated on you is always going to hurt more.

No, Monster Girl just wasn't ride or die and couldn't see past her own selfish importance and support what they built. Both had an entire dimension to stabilize and make decision's for each day. She left when things got tough and she didn't get enough attention, that's ho and betrayal choice, and mind you it was her choice to leave. If you go into a relationship thinking things will be sunny roses and there won't be times things will happen that make you not the center of the world, you need to visualize what's wrong with you, work on it and maybe then try your hand at finding love again.

Up to this point I think Rex was in the right, i mean the Zaxals where going to keep attaking not only earth but many other dimensions over and over again, they needed to be exterminated. However everything that happens afterwards is something that felt reallly out of character for Rex, completely ignoring the process just to get to the results.

Not only that but she forgot that these same people were the one's that invaded their world and killed their people. Poor written character unlike robot where we understood where he was coming from. Thats the thing in Invencible, only 3 Characters only matter in all the comic cause they are interisting, Cecil, Mark and Robot. There were moments were the comics was Dope cause it wasn`t a superheroe story, and thats where the comic shined the most. But, this is a Super story and Mark is the MC, so yeah, Kirkman needed a villain in the end of the Story cause Robot was so much better than Mark.

I usually catch these around 1:00 - 4:00 a.m. as like clockwork for the last 8 years I awake from a nightmare where my closest friends die, the orphanage is rocked by a near to constant barrage of RPG and 7.76 rounds (the whole village had to die because the nuns had the audacity to teach the young orphan girls to read and the villagers accepted the food we gave them after the Taliban had taken all of their food as a tax. Leaving them with the choice to accept our food or starve over the winter. I'm passing out from blood loss unable to continue laying down fire. Unable to move I watch my brothers fall. The nuns laying on top of the children as if their bodies could stop the bullets. It takes me a bit to remember I'm home and my miracle of a Daughter is asleep across the hall..CAN'T go back to sleep. Can't focus enough to read and desperately DO NOT want to wake up my Daughter...for her to glimpse the weight of my failure the iniquity in my eyes. I want to sincerely thank you for your content that reminds me of a childhood full of comics and the belief that I could/would in some small way live up to the ideals represented in those pages. My ear buds in your hard work giving me the gift of escape..if only for a moment. I really can't articulate how much your work has helped me . You, comicstorian, the Fwoosh, The Raccoon whisperer, the Dodo as well as Hope for Paws. I hope you and those you care for are happy, healthy, and safe. Semper Fidelis P.S. Rob kinda glossed over this but Robot and Monster girl weren't just in the Flaxan world for a while... or a long time... They were there together for SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS (700??!!!). For us that would have been from the dark ages until now... 1400s until now. I mean, to be very honest, I would completely understand Robot's point of view... I mean they were together for half a millennium, that's an unimaginable amount of time. Despite what a year passing in our time? Maybe less? And she cheats on him, WITH A WOMAN! and knocks her up. And yeah, Rob's right, the way to have done this was to completely extinguish the bloodline. It's meme-d on in Harley Quinn's animated series but its completely the correct thing to do IF you wish to be unopposed. The beauty of the comic is that you can also completely understand Monster Girl's point of view as well. Her compassion for the people gets in the way and she tries to make the right choice i.e. to make sure that the royal family and others are treated as equals or treated compassionately. These complex storlines are probably why this is one of my favourite comic series. So well written, so much to love. I really can't wait for the animated series to catch up with some of these storylines (and hopefully not destroy them) because the voice cast is so brilliant in the animated series.

It's more than a little frustrating tha tin the very last issue, monster Girl is still walking around free and clear while Robot is a Brain in a tank. Still..they left PLENTY of loose ends that could get him out of the government's thumb if need be. From Angstorm Levy's son to maybe some descendants of his rebellion.
