The weaver doll still came out to $90 after shipping and tax, personally too expensive for a “new” character.. it would have been cool if the doll resembled Venus,Abbey or Robecca any character we know really.

Absolutely. Im shocked mattel has forgotten the power of world building to this series. They hammer so hard on the main three, its getting boring. Especially with the show on "indefinite hiatus" and the movie unknown as to what it is. I guess with the clear success of the skullector line theyre now living in a world where "people will pay $100 for a character they dont know". Dont get me wrong, lenore loomington was good, maybe not $60 good, but still good. And witch weaver is amazing... but this is monster high, where does she fit into the imagine mythos of monster high? Is she literally a witch, is she a character? No. Shes just a "designer doll" and for as good as she is, i dont think its enough. Not for no $90. And the shipping to be paid NO MATTER WHAT is diabolical. Especially since its THEIR website. Not walmarts, not amazons, theirs. Meaning there doesnt have to be as much mark up to the price. If it wasnt for the licensing, mattel could sell dolls there for almost half price if they wanted, and could make as much as they make doing the playline dolls. So when mattel makes a $90 doll on mattel creations, theres a whole heck of alot of profit theyre making there. Especially since they so often use dirt cheap materials for these "collector" dolls. Ala the satin dresses for the hocus pocus pack, and the prevalence of poly in so many of their releases.

Oh same with my Lagoona creeproduction. Lagoona's lip literally chipped but I was too afraid to send her back bc I bought her on Smyth toys and at the time she arrived she was out of stock again. I was thinking about buying another one when they all dopped on mattel and amazon but i didn't since I want to safe up for wave 3 and reel drama next year. Also I am not sure if I would have been able to sell the chipped Lagoona or something. I don't have much space so I could not keep two of the same version.

@ItsZachduh sadly I didn't buy a new one when they dropped and it would probably not be worth it since she would cost so much more when including shipping 🫠 also another reason why I passed on buying a new one since rarely anyone would buy a chipped doll and pay a lot of shipping for her. I also asked my mom for Clawdeen for Christmas. She said Clawdeen sold out by the time she was able to look at the website, so I sent her a bunch of information about the different G1 style lines. I really hope I am able to get at least one type of G1 Clawdeen. I’m also excited for the Squid Game Skullector. If I get her for Christmas, she will definitely be with me when I watch season two.

As to the Creeproductions, I wasn’t able to get them before, and so I wanted them So badly. But as usual, Mattel Always drops dolls Before the 1st of the month which is when I get funds. I got draulaura and clawdeen reproductions today from Amazon and I ordered them yesterday but idk if mine look odd since I never owned the original ones. But they looked ok to me I was hoping lagoona was going to be in stock by the time I had the money since my mom got them for me. When you said that Mattel has been going crazy with all the monster high collaborations and limited drops in your Witch Weaver news video it made me realize how they been doing that to the American Girl line for years now and it’s getting out of hand I’m not a collector myself but I like watching videos about the historical line cause that’s the most interesting part of the whole line for me but they’ve been neglecting the historical line for years now the line that started it all say what you will but they put quality in the Pleasant Company dolls (that was their name before changing it) with real wood and metal accessories with a six book story for each doll to bring you in the time period their in and they been focusing on the contemporary line for years now and Barbiefying the line since the horrible Beforever rebrand where they took away the historical accuracy and made it stereotypical and made it more modern which they already had two lines that were already that and since they were already expensive they could charge how much they want like a few hundred dollars for a doll that shouldn’t cost that much “Babbity Kate” video on the subject does a better job explaining how this limited drop format is taking away from the sincerity of the American Girl dolls that stood for being a gateway for little girls to learn about people from the past and touched on some hard subjects like death, slavery, and wars and the whole situation is also made awful the new “Girl of the Year” Summer Mckinny a 9 year old girl who starts her own small business for dogs which wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t targeting people how do have their own small businesses they’ve been flagging people who sew custom doll clothing you can bye but they have a AI system that detects a doll wearing said clothing their modeling but the system sees the dolls face and can’t tell their not promoting the doll it self just the clothing and been bullying these businesses owners who just making doll clothes and doing no harm also videos on the subject and the reason I’m bringing it up to you is because out of all the random collaborations they been doing (especially with Disney princess) they made 2 Barbie collaborations already one of a 1950s doll wearing the black and white swimsuit made with expensive crystals and it’s been revealed that a fashion pack of Barbie Day and Nite look will be made and if they’re doing it with Barbie then you know Monster High will be next and American girl dolls will be looking like our ghouls in the forcible future probably and we know a Toralei will be apart of the collaboration and be prepared to drop $300 dollars to get her for your shrine sorry for the long comment but you are right how they been going with all these random collaborations and I would like some originality

I like the Witch Weaver doll for being a masc presenting collectors doll, and I like their outfit, but I don't know Harris Reed. Anything about his designs, or who he is as person, so I have basically zero reason to buy a 70 dollar doll of him. I'm not a "fashion design" person, I couldn't tell Dior from Gucci to save my life, so this, the Off White dolls, and even Dragon Queen Ru Paul don't appeal (though I mostly dislike the Ru Paul doll because real Ru Paul is anti Drag King, aka women dressing as men, and anti Bio Queen aka women in the drag queen aesthetic). Unlike the Skullector dolls, which almost always seem to target franchises that are accessible to most people, and therefore have a LOT of potential buyers, these high fashion collabs just feel so strange because I have NO idea who they're supposed to be for. Most of Monster High's adult market is either nostalgia fueled, people who had or wanted the dolls as kids, or pop culture fueled, like Skullectors, for example, and the high fashion collab dolls are neither.

I wonder if the Creeproductions that dropped around August/September in Europe are from the same production or a different one. I got all 4 and my Draculaura has the huge eyes too, but overall from the ones I've seen, the quality control wasn't that horrible EXCEPT for Frankie. I didn't see a single one that didn't have the eyes stamped way too high, lol. I did buy the WW doll, cuz I just appreciate the design a lot, cuz I like it when the Collector Dolls appear more "mature" in design and fabrics used. Also with the bodyparts they used, its definitely something fresh. I agree tho, the price is nuts - for me as an European it was around 110€ euro to get them

I will say, I had no idea who Harris Reed was before the Witch Weaver doll, but the moment I saw that doll I knew I wanted it. So seeing it was only $75 was amazing! I hadn't remembered the early sale for Fang Club, and came home to see the countdown and worried I might miss out, since I have work, but my wife bought the doll on her lunch break today! Came out to about $85 with shipping, which is not bad, IMO. The quality is there in the stock photos, and things overall are more expensive now than they've been in years past (yay corporate greed....). I've passed on the last few Skullectors - the Sanderson sisters, the Off-Whites, Annabelle - and I'll be passing on a few more upcoming ones like the Us dolls and the M3GAN doll (I haven't seen the films), so for me, the Witch Weaver is worth the price. Still waiting on my Young-See doll, too. And comparing Young-See to Witch Weaver... I'm assuming the former was so expensive due to the Squid Game tie-in, because while she's adorable and well-designed, she's maybe $45-$50 worth of doll. If the Witch Weaver had come out earlier, I might have second-guessed the Squid Game doll (though I did love Squid Game....). As for the Creepros, I have the set from...2015? 2014? Whenever they did the original doll rereleases during the end of G1/beginning of G2. The only one I've actively tried for was Cleo and Deuce, because I don't have a wave 1 Deuce, but of course they sold out super-fast. If they restock the 2-pack, I might try again, but I'm getting over the rereleases, personally. At least until Operetta's next year!

The only thing I noticed wrong with my draculaura is that one of her fangs looks wonky but other than that she looks good (to me at least) I’m only trying to get the originals for the other reproduction because I don’t really like the eyes but lagoona is like my 2nd fav so I’ll reconsider her… I hope they restock her because it seems like they had a lot of draculaura for stock (which I’m glad since she is popular among fans)

for the creepros, i was able to get a lagoona and a frankie. lagoona’s face looked fine to me, she has a tiny smudge in her eye paint but i was ok overlooking it since it was so tiny. she arrived last night. today, in better lighting, i saw a really noticeable hole in the front of her fishnet shorts. 😑 i’ve been debating whether it was enough to contact mattel about (i felt kinda karen-y complaining since i know some people weren’t able to get the dolls at all), but now that i know there are widespread qc issues i think i will. 🫤 for a $25 doll, if it was a hole in a fabric type i could easily repair, i’d let it go, but i can’t do anything to fix mesh, you know? frankie looked ok when i got her today but i will give her another look tomorrow in daylight, just to be sure. i like the harris reed doll and i’m glad it’s $75 vs $90-100 but dropping it the day after creepros was bad timing on mattel’s part imo. so while i like the doll - and even more so the concept of the doll - i will probably wait a bit to order one, if they don’t immediately sell out tomorrow. hoping it’s more of a situation like with young-hee where preorders are open a while.

i got lagoona since she was rhe last one i needed i haven’t had too bad of issues aside from frankie coming with 2 left earrings dracs lip being chipped and collar (kind of) frayed and the purple on ghe left side of clawdeens jacket not being sewn properly and her shirt chipping but i think the shirt chip just happens over time anyway so nothing that bothers me too too much😭🙏

I got my creeproductions and literally all of them have one massive eye and one small eye. Not to mention their hair being horrible. Literally none of the ones I got are fine.

What Clawdeen sold out after Draculaura? I was really wanting to buy Clawdeen and she didn't show up at all on Amazon so i brought Draculaura

My lagoona arrived today and her torso and upper arms was covered in some sort of thin see through plastic, I have zero idea if that was intentional or not. What would the purpose even be for?

I’m pretty sure that’s intentional to stop her from staining or something ? I forgot what it was for I’ve seen multiple people get a lagoons with it

I got my Draculaura and her eyes are really really huge. I usually don't complain when my dolls are far from perfect, but this new face really doesn't sit well with me and I can't get used to it. She also can't hold her umbrella in her hand. I ended up really disliking this doll, which is very disappointing because I was really excited to get her.

I didn't even know who Harris Reed was before this doll so I'm definitely not getting it. If I have no connection to the collab i have no reason to buy. Did look them up and all the top photos on Google image Harris is dressed very similar to the doll so i guess you have to be a fan to get the appeal. That said many collectors don't need an attachment to the source material and good for them.

I got all four of them and they ALL have issues. My Clawdeen is the worse having a damaged box and horrible face placement 🥲
