So the thing about the 15th anniversary it was pretty much to showcase how Monster Hunter has been going on for so long it was basically a look back at how much was put in over the years. For long time fans it was beautiful watching them recreate the cover arts using the monsters in motion.

Since you seem to like these sort of comparison videos, there was recently a poll to vote for "most popular monster" which showcases 229 monsters sort of like the 10th anniversary video but just pictures with the top 20 getting special treatment. With your limited knowledge I think it would be fun to see where the monsters you like or dislike rank in the overall community.

The 15’th anniversary video is very special to a lot of people. It goes through each game and shows which monsters originate from where, showing their official renders and then animating each flagship to recreate the box arts for each game is just a really special touch. Plus this was the first time they showed renders for Crimson Fatalis and Old Fatalis at 11:34 They’re really old monsters but are top of the top when it comes to power and strength, so much so that they had zero merch of official artwork of them for 15 years to stay in line with their in-universe mystique and fear inspiring mythos. Heck we only started getting Fatalis plushies a few months ago. Finishing it off with OG Fatalis is cool as usual.

Fatalis is even more special because it was officially one of the "unseen" monsters. It did not appear in any official art or promos, it was largely not ever mentioned, but it always held a very special status as the "hardest" boss that they pulled out on occasion. In the original game you wouldn't even find mention of fatalis until the end of the online experience, and before that there was only like one very thin reference of "lao shan (the very big red dragon) might be running from something".

Actually, this is basically the most we've seen this Forbidden Monsters(Or Black Dragons) through the 15 years during the time. And even now, we STILL don't know a lot about them.
@jaylenharris3434 ай бұрын
The 15th Anniversary one is very special and a lot of fans favorite. It goes through ALL the monsters in every Monster Hunter game and it showed the Black Dragons at the end. Dragons that are capable of destroying the world. When people saw a fully rendered Fatalis, they immediately suspected we would be getting Fatalis in MHW.

You guys should probably check out the anniversary top monsters. It basically a video on every monster from the main series from the most popular to least popular. Would suggest seeing it in reverse so that you two dont immediatelly see the top of the list. Would also suggest if you two ends up doing it to stop at number 21 to see the one of the 20 most popular monster since it gives them more spotlight.

That last monster, Fatalis, was actually added to Iceborne as the last title update. Us fans were so exited to see an updated model of him for the fifth generation (this is the first iteration we've seen of him that was THIS detailed), and the monster hunter team at CAPCOM actually listens to us fans to some extent. Different mechanics were given QOL changes, and even some monsters got added. This guy being a PRIME example, and oh BOY is he challenging, but FUN to fight!

And now with the gloves basically off. We can see-- No, we can FEEL what makes Fatalis so powerful as the Dragon effortlessly melts through metal in front of you.

from 11:22 till the end are a special class of elder dragon that are known as "black dragons" they are essentially the world enders because there that much stronger then a normal elder dragon and elder dragons being the top of the worlds food chain

So basically they covered all MAINLINE (No spinoff except MHX or monster hunter generations and its expansion) and each 3d animated monster at the beginning of each section is the flagship and main story monster of each of those games. At the end it went quiet as it showcased the Black Dragons, a secret subsect of monsters supernaturally powerful that rule the MH world with their world ending power. The very last being Fatalis, the main Antagonist and villain of the entire Monster hunter series.

fun fact: the guild founder claims to have seen Fatalis with his own eyes and historical records from Schrade seem to confirm it(as a character matching his description showed up in Schrade to warn the king about the Fatalis heading their way) suggesting he isn't a human or Wyverian(since Wyverians only live for around 600 years) I always love little mysteries like "what is the guild founder?" they have no bearing on the story and will probably never be explained but they are interesting to think about

The very last monster was Fatallis and people loved that model SO much they actually ended up changing their planned updates for I think the last 2 updates could have been only the last one anyway scrapped the planned monster(s) they had built us a whole new arena level put Fatallis in the game with what is arguably the best fight in monster hunter history, certainly in the top 5. I'm just saying capcom might be falling into the trap of becoming just another crappy video game company, but the monster hunter team really cares about its audience.
