Funny think about Yuko, the composer: She was in a panicked "NOPE DONT WANNA DO IT" when they asked her to do MH3 because she listened to Proof Of a Hero and other tracks and she thought she couldn't measure up to them and make a soundtrack worthy enough. And then we got MH3's soundtrack.

This is by far the best Arena Battle theme of the whole franchise! Nothing can beat this. The best part part is 0:55 - 1:32 Graphic maybe better in World, but the gameplay and music is still superior in the old games. Damn I adore the old MH games for the music only!

brings back all the horribly nightmares back... what a struggle! I'm a bow player, so this was extremly hard with no g-rank gear AT ALL!!! I just love this theme it mirrors my personal struggle with this fucking quest! I kinda ran the first 10 minutes like a headless chicken. It was vital because both monsters lost the stamina But these fucking killer combos: roar (azure rathalos) -> jump (brachydios) -> fireball = DEAD!

@@real_Furryratchet Running is also the strat because monsters have no explosion resist and they do G rank damage but have high rank health, so Brachy tears Azure apart. Optimally you let Brach kill Azurelos and then take down a weakened brach

Still my favourite MH arena theme to date. I admittedly have only played 3U through Gen U - I have never had the pleasure of playing anything earlier than 3U, nor any opportunity to play World at this point in time - but across those games, I certainly like this theme the most for arena. It embodies what arena challenges are the best, I feel. 3U's arena theme conveys best that you've been challenged by a trial. It is pure power. You shall prove your strength and vanquish the obstacles laid before you, lest it consume your entire being! Show that you are a true master of the hunt! I also like Gen U's arena theme a lot, for it's own reasons, but it doesn't quite reach the heights of this one. And 4U's... honestly, it has never done much for me. Don't hate it, I just think it's a bit dull.

I once helped someone with an arena battle and I had no idea which monsters we were going to face. 1st was Barroth and I was like: "Oke, easy!" 2nd was Barrioth and it got a bit harder but I was oke. But the last one was... Deviljho, and I had never fought one before. The fight was literally like hell but we survived and we did the quest a second time ^^

I thought the same thing before I got the game. I had always played tri on the big TV screen and thought it would be an issue but after some persuading from my friends I got the 3ds XL with MH3U installed. IT IS F****G FANTASTIC!!! I do admit that the normal 3ds screen might be slightly too small, but on the XL... It seems just tri, but better, more awesome, with more content annnnnd PORTABLE!!!
