I like this style of video, keep 'em coming. And oh boy, I couldn't have said it better myself. Astalos (and his deviant form in particular) are easily one of my most favorite fights in the series. They just hit the right balance between being challenging and being rewarding and punishable. I highly urge anyone who reads this to take 'em on when they get the chance.

One other thing that makes Astalos awesome: Some of its attacks can send you flying in ways that few (if any) other monsters can, complete with unique animations and effects. Best described as "anime character gets literally punched across the room."

I can't wait to fight this badass again when Sunbreak comes out. I'm also really excited about the possibility of getting Boltreaver back in the form of Apex Astalos. It was one of the most challenging, yet most rewarding fights in GU and I loved it.

Loved fighting Boltreaver during the EX-A-Thon, even though Boltreaver caused the most carts and took the longest to beat it's was still one of my favorite fights in the MH series. Good video as always Handi

Everything single one of the Faded Four are just amazing creatures in their own right. I can imagine all 4 of them being someone's favorite monster ever (yes even Gammoth). Glavenus is my favorite but Astalos is behind him at number 2. A badass creature made even more badass by its deviant. GU takes the concepts the series has used for forever in its creature designs and ramps them up to 11 and to amazing effect. When it comes to new roster members Gen/GU went for quality of quantity.

The killer bug zapper to zap us with its zappy hash slinging slasher scissor tail and its dive bombing tackles. Also lightning blade is probably the coolest move on a monster and hope to see it go nutty in sunbreak

The theme song is what really pushes Astalos over the top. The rest of the music in Monster Hunter is either pretty meh or plain awful to me but that Astalos theme is rad as hell.
