I was thinking a bit about the end of the video with the magnamalo hunt that resulted in a capture and thought of some things for rules about capturing monsters in the quests For starters, it is an important game mechanic and should not be ignored, it also only results in the capture and avoids the death of a monster, since the objective of the capture is to trap the monster , Study it closely and then release it back into the wild in full condition. So I spent a little bit of time thinking about how to implement rules in a way that was fair and not just too broken or unfair. I ended up with something like: If you want to capture the monsters you need to follow the following conditions Solo hunting : No carts and under 5 minutes Two players : No carts and under 8 minutes Three to four players : No carts and under 10 minutes I just had the idea, it was fun to write and watch the video, have fun my fellow hunters!

I have this similar idea of "extinct" mechanic back then. What if there's a monster hunter game out there that have a "survival" mode as its bonus mode, where every resource & monsters would be semi-limited. They will still spawn with a timer as a safety measure, but if you overhunt them (say 10 rath in 1 hour gameplay) they'll be gone forever

You don't have to use kunai on lizards, just hitting them with your weapon works

This reminded me of something I thought about while watching a Zinogre ecology video a while ago. Imagine we get Zinogre in every single game in next generation and maybe even one after it and then a new game straight up says Zinogres went extinct from being overhunted Tbh I love Zinogre, but I'd love this to happen, not just as a mockery on the community, but also as an additional insensitive to go back to previous games. Cap will never though

The only problem with this however is I don't think the guild would allow them to be hunted to extinction. They do try to keep balance after all.

Also they can use some other monsters to make it more believable, like Amatsu taking advantage of Zinogre numbers dwindling Also they could go with unnatural selection route instead of complete extinction, making a new "relative" for Zinogre
