The great thing about the B Diablos waist for us Melee players is that it lets you have Lock On with Fire Attack 4 instead of settling with 3. (Only losing out on 1 point)

Oh yeah!! That's pretty important too! Some players I know just chose to opt out of lock on and go with fire 5 instead.

In my view, the benefit of the Lock-on from the Black Diablos' waist is for Water Attack 5 builds, as you can get to Water Attack 5 without the waist piece having a Water Attack skill.

If he was going to be more common, the Bow would defintiely be my priority. But given how i did on the Pink Rathian event, i don't have high hopes to get the Diablos bow up to even grade 6. ANd i will need to continue to upgrading the bow in order to try beating 7* or 8*. SO i'll probably just focus on gloves and maybe helm.

Ayyy congrats dude! Just my opinion, go for the armour pieces first. You should get better mileage out of those since all you need is g6 to unlock skills and you can use it for multiple builds. Going straight for weapon is fine.. just that you may not be able to upgrade it much.

I currently play with a Focus 5 / Burst build. My question to you: If you can do Pierce lv 4 on Charge shot 3, does that reduce the need for focus? This would ultimately free up a variety of Armor slots for different skills while using the Black Diablos Bow. (*This also applies to the Pink Rathian Bow which can do lv 3 on Charge 2.) Would love to hear your thoughts.

On theory I suppose you could lower your focus. However there are merits to keeping focus 5. Imagine how much damage you could dish out with focus 5 burst 2. However i have yet to play around with bblos bow and can't give you an informed opinion! Sorry man

@mekudu-man3804 yeah that's a good idea too! But it also depends on the monster I guess. If you are up against monsters with small weak spots(like kulu head) then wex will only affect maybe 2 to 3 hits per shot. I've also been thinking of using p.rath waist and rathian gloves. So focus 4(pukei helm, chest, jyura boots) 15% crit from p.rath waist so the weapon only has -15% affinity. Burst 2 from rathian gloves for that sweet 10% buff. Can't tell for sure if this is good. Ahhh my smooth brain isn't made for such calculations.

Bow have priority, at the end of the event I'll check what level I can get it to and see if it's worth it, otherwise the gloves for the ice bow and lightning builds and thirdly the helmet for part splitting and farming

I'm hoping to craft a Focus - Partbreaker combo build comprising of: - Black Diablos Helmet - Pukei Chest (or Pink Rathian mail) - Black Diablos Vambraces - Diablos Waist - Jyuratodus Greaves This gives, if my math is right, Focus 4 and Partbreaker 3, and my theory is that with the GS's huge damage potential it will break and stagger monsters, creating openings for a GS TCS. Hopefully RNGesus is on my side and I get some sweet item drops to get the Black Diablos pieces to Level 6! 😃 It would be also great if there is the release of a Black Diablos and/or Diablos GS as a surprise - it would be nice to have a high tier Raw GS 😊

I think this bow opens up so much discussion It is by far the most broken bow, easily 3 dragon piercers without much sacrifice of gear and on top of that the massive advantage in positioning due to Lv 3 charge How frequent will the event rerun, say quarterly or twice a year How will Niantic sustain powercreep For whales, they can hire services to gps spoof with alts and grab those Black Diablos. They can double R2,3,4,5 rewards and it will be reasonable enough for them to craft max For active players, if they can kill a 100 each rerun, it will take them roughly 5 reruns to craft a 9-5 and 7 reruns to craft max For casuals, it will probably take years to craft even a grade 8 The most resource efficient path for bow is probably Pukei bow into Black Diablos bow. It will make a lot other paths such as elemental bows, or weapon types feel very unbalanced. The controversial question will be why spend so much effort, time and energy to craft elementals, when the former path is better and reach even further That is the sorry state of MHN now

It's true, I have seen videos of a player with G10.5 black diablos bow, which given the nature of the event being released at quite an early stage, coupled with how rare the spawns were, it's not hard to imagine that he probably spoofed to be able to get enough materials to bring that bow to G10.5... we are talking about black diablos specific parts like 864 black diablos fangs, 212 tailcases, 157 ridges, 110 prime shells and 40 marrows to get it to G10.5.

Partbreaker can come in handy for getting more staggers during the hunt that you could use to your advantage. Unfortunately I'm going to be busy on that weekend so I'll have to try to make the gloves during the next event

@@shawnzyplays I would do RR waist for the DPS, but I don't have the mats. I currently run Kulu head and Diablos for the 5% partbreaker, that's why I suggested the exchange for the Black Diablos parts.

I really want to make the black diablos bow thanks to that quick max level charge shot, but I don't know that I should because I don't think I will hunt enough black diablos to make it 6*, and I am worried it will fall off once I get more weapons to 6*. I might just go with the gloves to free up my build options.

Yeah go for the gloves and upgrade it to g6 first. If you have spare mats and there's nothing else you want then go ahead and make the bow. You'll probably need a few bblos events to upgrade it to a decent high level. Nevertheless it's a really fun weapon and I use it every now and then to change things up!

on paper yes! but do note that it only buffs raw dmg and does nothing for the elemental value of your weapon.

The Bow is way too good. Level 3 charge already give you Pierce 4, so you don't really need to max out Focus? One free armor slot.

@quyphuongtay if a part is 3000 hp and you deal 7000 dmg, then dmg to hp will be 7000. If you have partbreaker, you can deal less than 3000 hp to break the part. The dmg to hp will not be 3000. Example if you have 30% partbreaker bonus,you just need to deal 2307 dmg to break the part. The dmg to hp will also be 2307

@@shawnzyplays ok, for real example, I use Black Diablo hammer, now it's g7 5/5 with 30% partbreaker bonus, I always use it hit Jargas, Kulu heads, I just notice the first swing is 950 damage when head still not break, and it still deal 950 damage after head part broke, I think it still deal bonus damage after broke part, as long as you hit a breakable part, it still deal 30% damage bonus, I think you need a video to test this
