Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak | Scorned Magnamalo Insect Glaive solo 6'44"49

Buddy weapons are the MR sleep weapons with 23 sleep, capture timer was too short to get them in.
I'm not doing Adrenaline so this is somewhat decent. Had another run where he spawned in the swamp zone, got stunlocked by everything but carts me in one shot in his rage mode. Even with the cart that clear was 6'41, but the rng in this fight is too much for me. Somebody who's skilled enough to use Adrenaline will get a much better time, just wanted to show how much fun IG gameplay in Sunbreak is.
Apart from Kinsect Dash into Diving Wyvern missing the armblades and dealing 1/5 of the damage instead, this playstyle is really fun to do. The good old infinite combo also works extremely well for monsters that don't cart you by looking at you weirdly.
Can't really do CB speedruns because I don't use Counter Peak Performance, but might still do something funny, Air Dash is really good for dunks in combination with the new firing pins.

Nice run! Looking at your build, is elemental glaive outdamaging raw glaive in Sunbreak? Or is it matchup dependent?

Both ele and raw glaive are now relevant. Both it is easier to utilize ele since ele has so many skill to powered it up

It's nice to have a Glaive with some element that the monster is weak to, but you still mostly want to focus on raw-boosting skills in your set. IG attacks fast enough that the Glaive's base element with a few elemental decos will add enough damage on favorable matchups to outperform raw Glaives like Scorned Magna's consistently, but not by a huge amount.

Theirs actually a second camp on this map in the top right that lets you get to Magnamalo much faster.

Yeah I never got around to clearing that request until recently. But if I ever try to improve, I'd only do quests with Magna spawning in the swamp zone anyway.

It does appear to work that way. There's also the toads that deal some extra damage, but the swamp spawn seems to be pretty rare in this quest.

You might be able to fit all four levels of Hellfire Cloak into your GS set if you have level 4 deco slots, as there's Hellfire+ decos. But the knockdowns from the skill get increasingly more difficult so you won't get more than 2-3 topples on a single monster with the skill. Still strong for GS in particular.
