Those are kamura hunters that mimics riders behave via a special spider, the riders get the monsties via monster eggs

Sadly, i don't think Stories 2 did so hot. On the other hand, Stories games come nowhere close to a triple A budget game. Maybe there's hope for it one day. 🙈 But until at least end of 2026 all spotlight is on Monster Hinter Wilds.

​@LucasTigy2 I could be wrong, but you can get parts like flame sacs and also still be able to make a monster retreat. I think they just reused the item drops from the mainline. I also did a quest recently were you go to fight a special version of a diablos, and when you go back to claim your reward, the person that gave you the quest tells you she is surprised you made retreat a monster like that. The game never tells you exactly what happens after you defeat them but honestly I think it would be sad that people who have a special connection with those monsters fought alongside to keep killing them... ╥_╥

Duramboros genes were found in a datamine back in the original game.. please give us at least a handful of monsties you couldn't previously ride. Would love to finally have Daimyo Hermitaur

Unfortunately in the original MHS, the only monsters you couldn’t ride were Rajang, Kushala Daora, and Teostra. Those were Japanese exclusive, it hasn’t changed. The only thing they included in this one is the fact they added the Japanese exclusive stuff which relates to the anime.

let's hope they improved the egg and channeling systems to what we got in 2WoR. Because in the original each creature had 4 egg patterns and you could only channel if the genes were in the same position.

Stories should be an ongoing series alongside Monster Hunter proper, it would be cool to get a game with a japanese setting and monsters like Kamura in Rise. Or at least make sure 1&2 are always ported so everyone can have the experience.

This game was a great concept. I own this on PC, you spend your time getting your fav monsters, build them up and then the games just over.... Honestly, no end game and the devs just let it rot without any updates or nothing. I won't be getting this on console. Role on wilds

Shame the Rite of channeling in MHS2 wasn't the same as MHS1. I mean come on what happened to changing a monsters element along with the element of their Kinship Skill as well as thier appearance.😮‍💨😔 well can't do anything about that now I guess. maybe they can rectify that in the next 3rd installment of the monster hunter stories arc...
