Monoblos: The OG desert wyvern that has so much lore that hints to it having been overhunted. In a region that hasn't been explored before and the 1st area being a desert, I'd love to see him return and what other tricks it could pull to set it apart from Diablos. It's also thought to eat the tougher woodier plant life unlike Diablos' famous love of cacti (something I don't recall seeing anywhere in the region, but plenty of trees and branches interestingly).

I have to disagree though. As wilds demonstrate more cooperative monsters like that brown bear and rise with izuchi, I wanna see more drome monsters revamped to be more cooperative especially with their own strengths and weaknesses. For example the old prey/dromes like genprey/drome with spit based poison and great/wroggi with spray based poison, and how the drome/great commands and cooperate with the preys/lackeys. That would be a great world building monsters and a great way to show the improvement focus of wilds (the swarm of monsters and the like). Though I prefer the dromes/greats are to be optional monsters/quests though.

Kinda feel the list would've been served better by monsters that aren't series staples, or have only been in a couple games, or weren't repeated in risebreak (rise originals are okay), so no zinogre or nargacuga for example. I'd say monoblos, yama tsukami (frontier already fixed the fight somewhat), najarala, or blangonga, or even goss harag, kecha wacha, or tetsucabra, along with already mentioned monsters like zamtrios, gammoth, and seltas duo, or gravios, feel like they deserve a return. As for boss monsters they tend to not really return but seeing gog in oilwell basin or maybe a new akantor/ukanlos fight, or even shen gaoren would be great.

Namielle is my favorite monster threw. Although I only played iceborne but it’s so genious design wise. A luminous deep sea Batman dragon which uses water combined with electricity is just so awesome. Fight wise it’s velkhana for me. But to be honest I don’t think we’ll get more than 1-2 monsters from world in wilds. The community wants the older monsters back which didn’t had their debeuts in world. But maybe in a future DLC they‘ll add a few more from world just like they did in iceborne

I feel like Tigrex and Diablos, together with the already confirmed Rathian are the signature monsters of MH. So those could appear in any MH game in my opinion. Apart from that my favourite monster is Nargacuga so I wouldn't say no to it's appearance in Wilds. And yeah some more Insectoids and Crab type monsters would be fun too.

From what we've seen so far of confirmed monsters, it seems a safe bet to consider any monster game that hasn't gotten a New World glow up as potentially returning. One I'd love to see return is Qurupeco, his whole gimmick is summoning monsters so he can flee, Wilds is practically made for him (imagine him summoning an entire pack). Also, with how much turf wars have advanced now, I'd love to see Qurupeco's summoning ability backfire on him. So when a monster responds to its call for help they could sometimes attack Qurupeco instead of the hunter.

Lao Shan Lung but faster paced and incorporating the Seikrets. Like it’s panicked and you have to stop it. Catching up to it, running along its body, taking pot shots, jumping to cliffs next to it to avoid attacks etc. Work in some mechanics like Zorah Magdaros had like breathing fire on itself to get you. Have to take cover and work your way up to weak points and eventually to its head. One you stop it, there’s an arena style fight similar to the final phase of Jhen Mohran but it attacks you more often.

Queropeco would make a great addition to wilds since it has the ability to mimic other monster roars plus buff itself+other monsters. I could imagine it calling a pack of doshaguma or Yian-Kut-Ku

I know elder dragons aren't likely for base game and Nergigante was literally just in World, but I feel like Nergigante's mechanics work perfectly to showcase the new features. Focus mode allows easier focusing on the growing spikes to break them easier, the mobility when attacking inherently puts more of a focus on moving around to hit said spikes and the new defensive options would be great to allow more weapons to keep up with Nergigante's fast sweeping attacks

I really want to see the Orugarons from frontier show up. Pack based wolves with a bonded pair leading them, and even an elder dragon threat level arcanine looking one that had Naturo's dad inspired attacks and crazy speed. They would fit well with the open world packs and monster groups and they aren't really that over the top or out of place like some frontier monsters can be. That said i'd love if the infamous Dhisufiroa showed up in a more reasonable fight but that is just me wanting to fight the crazy dragon finally as someone who has played every monster hunter that isn't frontier or a mobile game. It's like an ultimate challenge to pit myself against.

Lao-Shan Lung. Ever since Kulve I've wanted Lao back with a phase where it actually fights back. Akantor/Ukanlos. with the size of the map in wilds, they don't need to be stuck in a special arena. Monoblos. Is it basically just Diablos? Yes. But I like the way it looks and they could always rework how it fights. Plesioth. Of course they would rework the fights and make sure it's hip check does not hit half of the zone, but there 100% should be an event quest where you fight the PS2 Plessy. Broken, zone destroying hitbox included.

Zinogre was in iceborne and Rize, I'm sick of it, ... I wouldn't mind a variant, maybe oil based variant that's all about poison. I say poison because I realized how little poison based monsters were in World and Rize, just the rathians and pikopiko, my palico couln't have a late game poison weapon.

Speaking of frontier monsters, as we get espinas in rise/sb, why not more frontier monsters? The frontier scorpions are great additions to those underground space. The frontier wolves for the forest area too. Also we need more glutton monsters aside from pickles and great jagras. Thus, pariapuria! And also also that magnetic daora forgot the name. Though if its here then I hope the magnet spike came with it, though I really doubt that.

I would much rather us leave out most of the staples like Narg, Zin, Tigrex, Kushala, Teo, Etc. Lets get some lesser known monsters and new monsters. Also if we could leave out the title updates from Rise and World, that'd be great too. Narjarala, Nerscylla, Akantor, Ukanlos, Yama Tsukami, Gogmazios, etc. Would all be fantastic choices. Most of them were only present in 1 or 2 games, and having a redone Akantor/Ukanlos fight would be really cool.

Bahamut might be jumping the shark. Given a few of its incarnations are humanoid, which based upon a few friends opinions are the more popular. I don't think MH should have large sized monsters with humanoid skeletal structures. It's a Pandora's box that should stay closed.

I've been saying this but gigginox > khezu, but my list will be pretty 3rd gen biased, I'd like to see jhen morhan since the intro of wilds was basically that fight anyway and I think jhen was the best siege type fight, way better than zorah and those god forsaken rampage hunts, next is agnaktor, the other leviathan I love other than lagi obviously, next would be qurupeco, this monster was the danger in high rank always added that extra layer of fear, then we have gobul/nibbelsnarf which nibelsnarf is prob more likely unless they can make gobul work in the way that the new water leviathan does, and then my favorite black dragon, alatreon, would be nice to see again as a way to remedy the relationship with all the skill issue players from world who couldnt comprehend elemental damage builds
