bahaha I did start playing charge blade in world and I think it was my second most used in wilds beta! It seems real fun in wilds especially with all the counters and being rewarded with PIZZA CUTTER

I think the changes to skills placement makes a lot of sense and will probably make it easier to parse things when you make a build. I also think having skills more up front will get people new to the game into building faster.

This stuff is so exciting, MHW was always my favorite due to how much you could give a theme in a sense to each build and have the aesthetic to match it, so glad they’re giving us more options to further specialize each build.

In every game I play that allows changing colors, my favorite combination has always been [Primary: Blue, Secondary: White, and Tertiary/Trim: Gold]. Equipment, Seikret, and Camp will all match 😃

I can’t wait to see all the skills for the HH and to see how they all look. For customizing the tent and I’m assuming we will have a room in town, I really hope we can make them out of our favorite monsters. I also think the skills on weapons and armor change was necessary due to us having the option of wielding 2 different weapon types. I can’t wait for this game to come out!

Nice to see someone reviewing the cosmatics in this game , and appreciating the design and the available options . you deffinetly have different but nice to have view on things. as for the female armor on a male charector , i am deffenetly not gonna use that , but mostly they look neutral and don't matter in witch gender they are used. but i have a question : do i need to buy the same armor twice if i want to change between the male and femal look of the armor?

On the skills front, I think that if they make certain skills only obtainable on weapon and charm and others only on armor that it will make it harder to make particular skill lineups and make skill selection be less about "what skills do I want" and more of "which is the next best of bad options." This will no doubt reduce the gap between 'homebrew sets' and 'min/max sets' and that might be a good thing. Will have to try it out and see. I am with you on skill bloat. Rise had ?148? skills I think. Sure, about 20 of them are wirebug/switch skill/anomaly related and unlikely to move on to 6th gen, but that is still too many. I think they should just commit to merging the sharpness skills with the ranged skills. In other game versions Razor Sharp and Spare shot were the same skill. Speed sharpening, handicraft, bludgeoner, protective polish, reload speed, ammo up, recoil down, ballistics, steadiness, tune-up, and Bow Charge Plus could all have the same thing done and hurt no one. That is unless the ranged skill you want is not paired with the sharpness skill you want for your weapon combo, but that really can't be helped and at least you get some value from the skill when you weapon swap. After that, why should 'element/status' attack be different? Why should the skills to make element be decent be needed at all? I think element should be effected attack power and affinity as a base so it stays relevant and not just an after thought. At any rate, I think the skill system was due for a major overhaul which made my quite happy when I heard they are making changes and I am interested to see what people that have more time and game knowledge than me can do to improve the system.

Wait can different weapons of same type have different skills attached to them? If so that's kinda bummer cause you may like a weapon because of it's damage, sharpness or looks but just because it comes with unnecessary skill you are not going to use that and that's very limiting

Yeah same weapon types can have different skills. We have seen a GS with punishing draw and another with speed sharpening. We of course us we have deco slots and charms to change some stuff. We will see how it pans out! I’m hoping there’s not 1 bow with bow charge plus which is auto the best one lol

So far with the skills I’m intrigued, curious if it’ll wind up being more limiting or more freeing in terms of armor skills. I do really like the monster class synergy if I’m not mistaken, furry monsters have class skills perhaps confirmation for multiple monkeys?!??!👍. Also heard they’re doing some massive reworking to some weapons (ig bounce back, so happy for y’all) *hopefully they don’t touch my longsword or Bow or Hammer🗿* as for fashion can’t wait to strut my stuff

I just hope they have some good armour set desgns. I love me some tube tops as well but I feel like they're going to be going more conservative in terms of skin showing. Aside from some skirts here and there. I think what they are doing is good, but won't be what a lot of players will be hoping for. On another note, I like this skill system. Weapon based and attack skills on the weapon, utility and defense on the armour. Makes a lot of sense, I cannot complain. I'm trying to think how my setup will go since my weapons will likely be a HBG (main) x Dual Blades (second) combo. Not quite sure which armour skills would best suit both of those together yet. If the Lance updates are good then it may be my melee weapon and then that problem is solved since HBG and Lance are both tank. I also like the Seikret customization. It'll make it feel more personal rather than just the transport. I will be making mine all white with a bit of red on the top. Yes, my battle chicken. The pop-up camp, I don't know I'll spend much time on that. In the open beta I usually ended up back in the main town since it still feels more important. What I'm hoping for that, at least, is that we can set up a lobby for friends only so we can walk around town and see friends and aren't forced into 100 person lobbies.

And on topic of skills being on weapons and armor having seemingly defensive and situational skills only now I'm a bit mixed. It sounds really good for variety of sets and builds but I worry for the returning problem of skill bloat. I'm so sick of having 5 pages of skills active.
