During a thunderstorm if you're in the camp and there's a really loud thunderclap, not only does you're palico get frightened but you can also comfort him by pressing 'play with palico' I just thought it was really heart warming

Something my friends and I discovered is that Bowgun Recover Ammo and the Demon/Armor Ammo hit the ground and become a mini booster rather then needing to actually hit your friends!

Something I found that no one is talking about. You can ADD extra slots to your multi-Wheel by selecting the space BETWEEN two slots (the line) which means you can have more than 4 slots on your main wheel. 4 wasn’t enough for me.

​@@chambermybeloved technically speaking you can do it with the bow too (i'm a cb and bow main) the problem is: the focus action of the bow takes too much time to lockin 3x and the weak point will be gone before you finish lockin it

Trick in wilds, instead of sharpening take out the other weapon. Switching to your side arm is always faster than reloading

I have to imagine that either the monsters are substantially weaker in the Beta, or the armors are equalized in the Beta, since there shouldn't be a reason the starting armor is able to go up against the apex of the region like it does without a particularly skilled player using it.

I’m sure there’s a lot of other comments about this, but a little thing I found is if you go to Kunafa and talk to Y’sai (the guy you saved from the Chatacabra) he’ll give you 20 Kunafa cheese to use in your meal as an addition ingredient. It gives Defender (Lo)

While I'm sure a training dummy/arena is available in the main game, unfortunately the beta only provides a small barrel that does not have wound mechanic coded, and we just lose access to it completely after returning to the base camp. My recommendation for now is make a second character save, get as far as the barrel practice in it, and not proceed any further, so it becomes a permanent practice place (albeit limited capability)

Or, you know, just fight a chatacabra? Dudes basically a punching bag that can slightly hit back. If anything it's better practice since it's a moving target (practice positioning and aiming with L2) and it attacks you (practice dodges/offsets/perfect guards). Although it would be cool to have the dummy cart they show in the weapon combo pages in the guide.

So I jumped in at 11:08 ECT last night a played untill dawn. As a hunter who began with the original in ps2 .. I’m stoked. It looks like a great framework to really build atop of for the coming future. I’m enjoying the new mechanics of the combat, the ability to hone in onto damage areas and the added agility of focus mode. For a beta, it’s absolutely gorgeous. The only draw Back I can mention is the inoperable forge. As, I’ve already slain all the monsters and now…. I wanna make stuff. This is the cornerstone of the whole franchise and I was looking forward to a sneak peak of what’s waiting for us in march ( allowing a day or so to get caught up) . All in all, I’m eager to see what else awaits beyond the sands. Great job Monster Hunter teams!!!

Give you this the spikes around the place look like they old dragonators, you can see one in ray dau’s layer they even have markings on them and the lightning comes from the rock formation. It also looks like in certain parts of the map are fossilised trees or coral

@@crhoades555 No, that's just what Energy Drinks do. They increase your stamina and prevent you from falling asleep when you use it. They don't slow down stamina consumption.

My only disappointment in this beta is the lack of research notes. I went around and captured every form of endemic life I could possibly find in every kind of weather and went to go read up the info on them but couldn't find anything at all. Had to close out the game without saving and re-catch everything and save replays every time so i could read the descriptions of each endemic life form.

Fr it kills me. I’d love to hear what you’ve found so far, I haven’t seen very many people taking about or making a list of the endemic life they’ve discovered. Spoilers I found a nothpecker, pallbugs, curioshell crabs, regular and black windrustlers, dark(?) hornets, a something(?) shroud gecko, a something tail lizard(?), the nest building bird dude, the lantern shrimp or whatever and a rare sandstar I seen somebody say there was a purple bird nest guy too

I much preferred MH: Rise not having bloat values. I always had to look up what the bloat numbers were during World, to figure out what my damage actually was. There's little more frustrating than, "Oh, I do 728 damage a hit! [hit something]: Why am I only doing 130?????"

Looks like there is a New Special ammo for light bowgun you can See the New symbol in the weapon tutorial. The description says you can use inbetween the Special ammo so there is an alternative to the exploding mines.

To change em you go to change equipment and click on your current armor, you could hide it by removing it but you'll have less defense

I implore you to check your in-game settings. You can find things that change your gameplay significantly. I.e. Turning off auto sheathe Changing the Seikret mounting and movement controls HUD Sizes Turning target camera on/off etc… Also make some armorskin, max potions and tranq bombs for Rey Dau. Trap dat bish and thank me later.

Not just you, I main switch axe and I feel like our hunters are really grounded in this game. Weighty and the animations are fluid. I do feel slower but to be fair, we don't have any movement skills yet from armor sets or and base stamina levels.
