I’ve tried to make sense of the rhythm at 0:40 ever since I first heard it and I couldn’t but now with this higher clarity, it’s clear that the emphasized beats are there to convey the unpredictable crashing lightning of the land it rules over! This track is a masterclass in composition and arrangement and I must know who was responsible for it! 🤯

I used to use vgmdb.net for info on soundtracks that I would later purchase as CDs. You just search for monster hunter and it's all there. Even the obscure stuff like remix albums. The official soundtrack won't be out until next year, usually after the game's release. Still you might come across something else that interests you.

Definitely Rey Dau's theme, each of the 3 revealed apex monsters has had unique music playing in the trailers.

​@@atomicwreck2063 I really can't see this theme playing for a monster like Rathalos or Diablos. Between the droning electrical hum and and the thunderous drums, this sounds like it was made specifically for Rey Dau.

@@Vallent518 Oh yeah that could be the case, it might just be different tracks for different tiers of monsters. I guess we won't know until either the full game comes out or official names for these tracks are revealed.
