She's got some jaded veterans in chat this video. I'm also a veteran and the stuff they are saying about Rise is wild. Super actiony? Rise is faster pace, yes, but it's no DMC or Bayonetta. Rise isn't even the most arcadey of the bunch. GU/XX was much more so. And as veterans they should know that the mainline games aren't going to branch off from Rise wholesale. They'll take some stuff, tone it down, and integrate it into the base moveset just like every generation change.

About your questions at the beginning: -Right now the release date for Wilds is still unknown. People speculate that it will probably come out around Spring 2025 but there is nothing official yet. -Historically all the MH releases get a public demo/beta 1-2 months before its release, so it is likely to be the same for Wilds. The game was featured in the recent gaming events Gamescom and Pax West, where there was a playable demo so that people could try the game.

Deco RNG can be fixed by ensuring a minimum rate of progression. Allow us to trade decos in for points to be used for any/every deco the game has, similar to melding from World. This way you're never stuck or feel like you're not making progress.

I started in MH3U and Rise/Sunbreak is definitely my favorite. It does have micro transactions but its with some of the layered weapons which is.... pretty annoying. Still a great game though

Yeah bro I noticed most (not all) of the ppl that hate on Rise either never played it or barely played it. It's an amazing addition to the MH franchise. I'm not sure which game I like between World and Rise tbh.

Just so you know, although micro transactions were a bit more prevalent in Rise than World, it never affected my personal experience with the game because I never actually even looked at them in the game. I only know about them due to YT videos talking about them.

I have a problem with how people are comparing world/iceborne to rise and this is why. People aren’t comparing world to monster hunter stories or MHGO when you realize that the team actually has four different genres of games under the same MH title ,and when you break it down you cannot compare these games with each other. You have to compare them in their own separate classes. So with that being said I want you to think? Is RISE really trash!? Or is it really one of the best portable games that has came out in the years??

I don't think I can agree with the notion that rise and world are different genres so they shouldnt be compaired. There basically the same over all style game, one is portable and the other isn't. That being said I loved rise and sun break it was a blast to play and i enjoyed every minute of it when i played. I prefer world and iceborn as it felt more like a hunt and a challenge throughout the game where in rise it felt way to easy with major spikes of difficulty at the end game only. Worlds pacing felt better and the idea implemented where your going out to hunt down the monster and explore i prefer more then the sprint to the monster approach. Additionally I think the guiding lands was a better endgame then curious crafting. I had more fun in the guiding lands then repeating the same monster over and over for no real reason other then it was the fastest way to level up.

I can absolutely agree with that. All four games have different goals and approaches/styles to the one thing they have in common: the fight. And that is what it makes fun to try them all. I found MH Stories to simple and lame ro continue but I can respect it that someone else might love this game. I think alot of people try to compare World and Rise 'cause they look simmilar on the surface with hub/management and weapon play. But if you go deeper they're like night and day.

10.) the community is probably referring to the event quests since they didn’t like Rise since they got a lot of stickers for their event quests 9.) some are fine with reveals others aren’t remember that it’s his community that voted on these concerns 8.) it’s just world trauma where they are forgetting that they had to build it up from scratch since the last mh games were on the 3ds 7.) iceborne tied MH4U ace hunters to fatalis by giving them names which was an first for monster hunter 6.) here he goes with the skill bloat topic but he forgets we are just going to get stronger so we need more skills and fatalis armor being the best followed the tradition of best armor like star knight in 4U or Mantis in GenU/XX 5.) endgame gonna be either decorations or charm farming along with certain monster that drop items that augment the weapon and gear

Side note some of these veterans players are forgetting that it may not be hand holding it could be they got gud 3.) slippery slope argument where cosmetic dlc will eventually lead to pay to win 2.) goes to my side note in 4 where people got good due to playing old mh game where there was less mobility compared to the new mh games where we have more mobility

The map of Wilds will have seamless transitions between locations like the actual local hub and villages, as well of starting and finishing quests. The only thing that won't be seamless is going to different locales, as in there will be a loading screen between going from the Windward Plains to the Scarlet Forest and vise versa.

With deco rng if they did a system when it was like oh you have a higher chance of getting attack deco from say Rathalos, evade extender from Nargacuga or guard up from Basarios etc!

I would really like it if the landscape was a simple transition between biomes because it would cut loading time and be more fun. I am not sure if you played Horizon Zero Dawn but I feel like it would be like that, I really love those games so I am all for it if the landscape is similar.

No official release date as of yet (As of 9/23, Tokyo Game show hasn't occurred yet so that may change). As far as I know no "beta" per se. These creators got a invite to play it (A very early build) at Gamescom in Germany. Which had demo stations for the public to try as well though the wait times were huge. Heard similar wait times at PAX west in Seattle a week later. The last two games had demos out to the public a couple months before release. So we're hoping they do the same for this.

For people who start with Wilds, might find past generation games too clunky and "slow." While each generation adds QoL improvements, Wilds decreases the commitment to attacks, so minimal that you can cancel out of any big commitment that was present in past games. I loved the risk/reward and the "dance" that the older games had, as someone who started in Gen 3 with MHTri, and I would love others to also enjoy what the older generations had to offer.

On microtransactions, I think overwatch was the one that made it mainstream not fortnite. Though if we really go back Bethesda made the gold horse armor in oblivion and that could also be the thing that caused microtransactions to be popular but there's probably some other thing way before that introduced the concept.

My only concern is the weapon switching... that basically kills preperation entirely. When MH was all about preparing before every hunt.

I understand where you're coming from, but you're not going to be forced to switch, you can just stick to the one weapon and the same would go from restocking items, you don't have to restock them if you don't want to.

No public betas for monster hunter, or atleast I have never seen one. They do run a demo a month or two before release. Currently there is no reason to assume they will not do the same for wilds.

Plus in each game there always a best armor 4U had star knight and GenU/XX has the mantis set. It’s stupid that people want to limit our power as hunters where we need to go forward and become more powerful so we can persevere the balance

I gotta agree with you there. Imo Black Dragon armor should always be broken. After all the monster itself is OP, so why wouldn't the armor be. That being said as long as these monsters are at the very end of the game.

I hear u talk about difficulty getting around in World, but the game has things to alleviate that, each map has multiple extra camps u can unlock to teleport to and each map also has unlockable mounts to help u get around faster. U unlock them by befriending the cat people of each map

I will never understand the disappointment people voice when monster hunter added the ability for your character to shift/turn while swinging an axe/great sword. You hunt elder beasts and unicorns. Why is being able to reposition your aik/character crossing the line?

Plus having it be released on a Switch would defeat the whole design philosophies of the games. Where they release a main line title for consoles and such, and then release a game for portable consoles like the switch.

It could be another spin off or portable game but every Nintendo console received a new MH game since Tri, including several timed exclusives. I don't think Wilds will be a launch title but I do believe it some version of it will be on Switch 2. The RE engine ran too good on OG switch to not revisit the series.

There are lots of MH fans that like the older methodical combat of earlier generations. The worry is Capcom is breaking the game balance with overpowered hunters where its less about positioning, predicting monster movements and knowing when to commit and more about amassing required skills to beat monsters.

Personally World and Iceborne levels are fine by me.
