The kinsect I suspect will be upgradeable, and I hope Rises alternate kinsects like the support variant comes back. Having it supplement my big attacks was nice, as was building around using the kinsect as a heat seeking missile for big damage as well. i liked rise for what it is, just how i liked GU for what it is, but at the end of the day the mainline games should not feel more like the portable series than it own self it's fine to have some aspects, world had a lot of mechanics mainly combos from GU, and same here with wilds having that from rise, but the design philosophy of Wilds i can't appreciate at all a lot of consequences and risks have been reduced or straight out removed from the game, monsters will never feel the same when if i'm in danger i can just call my seikret heal sharpen might as well keep running in circles until the monster stop attacking, and then go back to fight i can now do animation cancel mid combo and reposition mid combo if i'm short on potions i can fast travel mid combat or run so fast with my seikret to my very close portable tent and restock they even removed tracking, and i didn't have issue with that in rise bc it's a portable game, but in a mainline game the preparation is almost non existence having the portable tent, the tracking is no longer here, there are no major consequences of failing anything, can you call this a HUNT anymore? it feels like monster fighter than monster hunter to me, and as a long time fan it's sad to see that capcom don't see ppl like me as the target audience anymore it's like a new darksouls with dmc combat, you won't lose your souls when you die, the map shows enemies position at all time so you won't get ambushed ever again, and you have infinite flasks, that's how i feel regarding Wilds

I turned on the upscaling and the performance is marginally better but the drop in quality is way too noticeable for me to settle for it. I know people will disagree but I kinda miss tracking the monsters around; ofc I wouldn't want them to force it but it would be nice as some sort of gameplay option to disable instantly knowing where every monster is or something along those lines. Also, the GS is boosted, you can turn around both while charging the TGS *AND* in the middle of using it. You have to try real hard or position yourself really bad to miss now. The new counter is nice, but tbh it's something you'd only get to use regularly whenever farming a monster you already know pretty well; other than that, you're better charging a regular slash and shoulder-bashing to hyper armor it or just roll out if you still have time.

Re. monsters running away too often, I saw speedrunners use a slinger ammo that aggro'd the monster to them and prevented them from changing locations. It's not a permanent fix as the effect seemed to last just a few minutes, but throwing one or two of these pods onto a monster as it gets low might prevent the issue you mentioned of them fleeing multiple times to make it back to their nest. If the beta was still up I'd love to jump in and find the exact item they were using in the videos, as the footage I was watching was in Japanese.

as an IG main, the kinsect in beta while slow is still manageable. it performance in hunt is pretty decent, it still has that mobile aspect on it, even after they remove the bounce, we can also string helicopter into descending thrust which is also a nice addition. and you're not entirely helpless without stronger move either, thanks to descending thrust and kinsect now assist even without any extract to help with collect extract Assist kinsect move also now collect extract along the way, which also include green extract for healing. This iteration's aerial IG also less stamina demanding than World and Rise, now all the aerial move nolonger require stamina to perform them instead of just midair evade, they just consume the stamina, so it only cause a trouble when we land but not as much of a problem, and this is without blackbelt food effect or any stamina reduction skills too. I see Wild IG as its own things tbh. I felt the same way with other IG, even though I want more like Iceborne IG. Still don't like how they gated descending thrust behind red extract like that.

Thing about the monsters running away. If you use Sword n Shield your Seikret attack changes when you make it sprint. So if something is slow enough you can chase it down and hit it with the SnS sprint attack. You basically swing your sword at it's ankles and hold it out for a while. So you do a bunch of hits as you run past the monster. I have personally used it a lot to hunt down Chata and Dosha and get some more damage on them as they run away.

Bruh wound braking with the GS is so good, it usually topples the monster and you have instant access to True Charge Slash, you are wasting a lot of DPS if you are not breaking wounds with Focus.
@TheSleepingMongrel2 күн бұрын
@iHeartAMP in solo or with something like Lance I'd agree but other weapons actually get buffed big-time from wound popping. It's best to make them so others can break them IMO that's just my personal experience and yes there are certain situations that GS would be better like getting situational wounds like after Rey gets done shooting or chattacabras tongue hanging out.

the best thing i felt off this beta is the depth like longsword straight up get a whole new moveset and a new ender gunlance went from holding shild charging shots to break dancing in monsters face abd the wound system benifits each weapon like you could up your sword gauge with longsword depending on how many wounds youve poked and the sharpness is pretty durable to play with i have no gripe about this beta other than i can not play with my friends since they didnt figure out the low end optimising and he only got a 3060
@I39393I2 күн бұрын
sad thing is they did not gave us some crucial skill for some of the weapon so the flow feels kinda wrong like quick charge with greatsword and quick sheath with longsword and fast transition on switch axe and charge blade so when coming off the sunbreak all weapons just felt slower but theres enough new stuff to try out to the point i can ignore those issues like the new spin move with switch axe is cool af and you can go to the chainsaw by strike the wounds with chargeblade

I only have a 3060 too and I can run the game near 60 fps for the most part. Running on medium with fsr frame gen.

My only issue is the monster AI and overall behavior. I think they can iron this out before launch but the enemies move around the map and run away WAY too much. They can also lag out and get stuck in certain areas of the map. Specifically the tunnel entrances from the dessert to the lower levels

We had actual omnidirectional movement with wirebugs and I already miss 'em. SwitchAxe Swagger is back. Also pls don't show me players uselessly mauling the monster's abdomen. Easy? That's just low rank where monsters have a 2 second delay between every action.

Just for clarification, the theory of the "A team" and "B team" is debunked. By simply looking at the credits screens for 4 ultimate up to Rise, there is no pattern to who develops each game. Way back in the psp era, sure but now there isnt a difference in developers.
0:33 Well it's not true. Hope that makes you feel better

Why are everyone complaining about frame rate and optimization like this is a finished product? It’s a beta. It’s entire function is to stress test the (as yet unfinished) game and find things like this. Do you not think Capcom are watching and taking notes during the beta that they initiated? Wait until the finished game is actually released and then complain if the problem persists.
@ericjoestar10652 күн бұрын
Because Dragon's Dogma 2, which runs on the same Engine and is also an open world game, had terrible performance (and still has, afaik). Also a beta is also a small test, for how the performance can be. For example, the beta for World on PS4 didn't run much worse, than the full release and 4 Months isn't a whole lot of time, to optimize. Better question is, why do you have a problem with people complaining about it? You will profit from it as well, when Capcom listen to the customers.

Haven't had issues on both PC(rtx4070 ti and I9 13th gen in case some of the issues like polygon could because of gpu idk) and PS5 during the Early beta access for psplus users. Games great and literally every weapon that feels really good to use like if you hated hammers on worlds for being slow then id recommend trying em on Wilds because they are slightly faster and the bow is so good with the new combos. I can NOT WAIT TO BUILD CRAFT with some brand new perks and the fact gun lance shelling attacks for example benefits from attack up and probably can stack with artillery park(if im remembering the right perk name)
@thehellslayer3002 күн бұрын
You have an i9 13 gen, thats the reason on pc, the problem is that low system requirements demand 10 gen cpus
@Corrupted_Hivemind2 күн бұрын
@thehellslayer300 idk i haven't had any issues so far in the beta but i have seen some images of the polygon issue but never truly bothered to look into it but i wouldn't be surprised low system requirements is a concern... I'm still fairly new and inexperienced to PC stuff in general since i built my first PC at the start of this year so I'm still learning pc technical stuff as i go but im surprised new games still have a moderate low end requirement(granted optimization issues is a growing issue) but some people might have to look into upgrading if Capcom can't fix the issue but it is a beta for a reason so hopefully that issue will be ironed out by launch

The combat feels so good, but to be honest I miss the clutch claw and especially the slow-paced tracking from World. It really felt like you were getting to know the monsters more deeply and helped with immersion and a build up to a grand reveal. If Wilds had repeated tracking, but a bit less than World did, that would be perfect for me. Also, getting a wall bang with the clutch claw was satisfying and I hope there's something similar here
