Monster Hunter Wilds • Long Sword X Hunting Horn The Best Combo? Max DPS Build

Self Improvement buff does not buff your second weapon so there is no need to play it for the Longsword, that has been confirmed by Hunting Horn players like KPlays Here and in Wilds the Attack Buff of the Hunting Horn only gives like close to 5% ( Self Improvement gave 10% before now 20% and Attack up gave 15% now 5% which menas the Horn itself gets 25% but your Longsword only gets 5% if not lessattack so probably not even woth it for the uptime you get and the constant need to rebuff which means downtime on the main weapon. Andplaying on the Seikret is extremely slow because you can not even cancel notes. So it's better to just take a bowgun and shoot a demon ammo then to use the horn if you are playing solo. And you could even get paralysis and/or sleep ammo.

Just as a heads up if youre planning to do this in the full game: it doesn't work. Capcom rebalanced Attack Up specifically so that using HH just to boost the damage of other weapons isn't all that worthwhile. If we'd seen the stats screen during this video, it'd show that whole time the LS' attack was getting boosted by a whopping...4%. Other utility buffs might end up being used this way, but if were being real? Anyone planning to do this was gonna do it for the free Attack Up lol

Sounds like a nice combo, I'll go for HH+Hammer for that tripple H action! But I like using the HH at the start and then swap when the monster runs away.
