Everyone is working, moving, and getting things done, its the frontier of the new world, it just make you want to continue to do your part. They layout sucks yes, but the atmosphere is awesome.

I didn't really like the feel the town had in this game. The older ones felt a lot more homey, this one just felt very industrial. Now, in terms of atmosphere during hunts, I would even say world is a return to form, bringing back the more gritty, serious tone the old games had, with the serene peaceful atmosphere you get whenever the monster moves to a new area and gives you a chance to heal up and collect items, but I didn't like the feel of Astera at all, and I feel like that could easily be fixed with a change of BGM.

I'm always looking for some excuse to get on it with a friend that's new to the franchise. For me I have done literally everything getting on by myself is not as fun as helping out a newcomer. When you first start the game this song welcomes you and gives you the sense that you’re about to go on a grand adventure. Then when you finish the game you come back and see all of the other hunters in their new gear and you feel accomplished and proud of your journeys. World is honestly one of the best ways to introduce someone to Monster Hunter and I’m glad my friends told me about it. I had already known about Monster Hunter and played a little bit of Tri but starting World just felt so special. This will forever be one of my favorite series of games.

@@kulvejiiva267 I have. Those two are a pain. I recommend stun weapons for all of Icebornes campaign because the other weapons don't get meta until late game. Stun will keep them in place and they won't be able to attack you. However learning a completely new weapon can be hard too. If you really want help, I'm on Xbox and PC. My gamertag is MostValuedPony, and so is my Steam.

Alot of people really dig at astera for not being homey and being complex but a someone who started with world and has gone on to have many other experiences in other monster hunter games, I always feel such a rush of comfort and joy whenever I hear this theme or walk around in astera again after a while. After a hard and tough hunt the best thing in the world was to sit at the cantina, eat and relax or rush to the smithy to see the cool new armour from the monster I just killed *or* check up at the botanists to see how their research was going, especially if I hadn't been there in a while and I just see all the monsters' ecologies get updated. Oh and the center where people would be going back and forth all busylike, it made it feel so alive and bustling. You'd see the argosy, people working, merchants counting stock and etc,, such a comfy vibe for me, instant memories flooding back of my time as a fledgling hunter, I'll always treasure astera as my home, one of many, but the first :).

100% man. I think nostalgia is a massive parts of these themes. Like you i started with world and my lord i love this theme so much. It encapsulates aestera so well, it's busy and full of many different fleet members and felynes all working their asses off. The people who started with older games that start in an actual village in a player home make sense to have this cozy and homely feeling as if it's welcoming you back in every new game but aestera isn't a home it's a big base and you don't even have a home in there just a single room.

I think this theme does a great job at conveying the idea that Astera isn’t just you on a one-man journey, there are hundreds if not thousands of other brave men and women all working just to keep the place running so that you can go kill God, it’s great.

Yeah, I've seen people talking about how the Astera theme is not like a village theme. I doesn't and it's not supposed to be. It's a "camp" theme. It doesn't bring thoughts of home, but work, instead.

I remember the times when I hated the simpleness and repetitiveness of the theme compared to older games' hub themes, but suffering through FF collab hub theme during Behe raid and finally getting to hear the calm welcoming theme of Astera really made me appreciate the theme a lot more than I did before. Ofc Seliana takes the cake for best hub theme, but I like to stroll around Astera now and then just to take in the nostalgia. It's been 5 years since the release of World. And I keep coming back to it just to start the adventure over and over again. That's how good the game is to me. Edit: the clutch claw hate can be simply solved with ICE modpack. With ICE modpack the game becomes 10x more fun

Started in Pokke, then made my way to Moga...which, lemme tell you, was a huge shift in every possible sense. After some time, I went to Yukumo, but it was tough figuring things out. Berhma was...interesting, however I used my time there to visit Dundorma, as well as a few other villages. Astera, my oh my, my time there was wonderful, and was soon to be eclipsed by the beauty of Seliana. Some years would pass before I left and began my time in Kamura- much like Yukumo, it was beautiful and startling. Elgado. Elgado took a busier approach than Kamura, but it was palatable, not unlike Val Habar. I look back at all of the villages I served in, and I recall all fondly, yet Pokke and Seliana stand out the most.

With this song's recent release as part of a music pack for TU1 of Sunbreak the feeling of a bustling base of operations still is strong when played as the Outpost bgm. Like Astera, Elgado isn't a village & the royal order people as well as researchers, smithies, merchants & even the kingdom's princess only recently set up Elgado as their base of operations. Everyone has their own assignments & businesses but still are collectively working to achieve their goals, lending each other a hand when need. The player is ultimately the recipient of everyones support just like Astera, rewarded for their brave efforts of killing monsters & procuring materials through gear, items, & most importantly a place they can call home, even if that home is only an outpost since their isn't an actual kingdom to travel to in the game.

I started Monster Hunter Freedom Unite in 2011 on my Dad's PSP, beat the game and slayed the 2 turtle dudes in 2012 Received 3 Tri as a birthday present that year, beat Alatreon in the next month alongside my dad Got 4 Ultimate in 2015 on release day, beat it in 3 weeks by myself, never fought Gogmazios Got Generations Ultimate on release day again, dont remember what year, beat Ahtal Ka in the next 6 months Got World on release, Iceborne too, quit shortly before Fatalis was added Got Rise this last year along with Sunbreak, hit HR 6 and quit And yet, all of that, and I still find Asteras hub music the most nostalgic
