Very happy that your channel has grown enough for you to earn a review copy! Your videos are always really nice to watch but I gotta say this first attempt at a review might need a bit of polishing since it does stretch out for a long time and often on topics which aren't about the game itself. It feels like there's more padding than substance in a lot of those sections. I don't know if you'l be making a lot more reviews in the future but if you do, it would be great to have a more compact review video talking exclusively about the game itself and then a follow-up video maybe explaining your reasoning or points a bit more in depth. Looking forward to your Iceborne content :)

Amazing and Fair review just a couple of thing stood out for me. You were given an early copy of the game and in 24 hrs you managed to beat the story and more. wow. Also about the music I totally get the ambient music thing, it's a great idea, and the series does have a signature theme "proof of a hero" but it's kind of a big moment kinda theme so you don't hear as often. solid Review Great Job.

@@theblackbaron4119 Or if he did a bit more research. I mean I only played Tri and World and I knew that Proof of a Hero is considered by many (myself included) to be the Main Theme of the Monster Hunter Series. Heck even though the monster was introduced in World, you could even call Bazle's theme Iconic since everyone knows that when THAT theme starts, you should start running (if you are just beginning HR).

What you're saying about sound effects rings through with my experience and world and i'm not that far in your review yet but i felt the same about World's soundtrack. Going back in the series i have to say MH3 and 4 have such pleasing menu or item sounds it's great. And the music in those games? Phenomenal and they'll be with me for life and the game isn't even that nostalgic for me. It's relatively new in my life. So super valid points you made there. ... Now I'm gonna finish the review.
@teotalks88064 жыл бұрын
Yeah, i just saw the music big and yeah, man! They're super close with Iceborne's main theme and Velkhana's theme. Super great songs with big moods, like you said. And Capcom has been known to have INCREDIBLE music. May I point to Megaman X1, X2, and X4, and X6. Literally legendary songs with fantastic sound effects as well. It's such an underrated selling point. And i think a lot of the reason people don't put in sad scenes, even though it'd perfectly balance out THE HYPE that is this series, is because people like fun. And I'd also argue that the reason they don't go into darker topics such as "how much do these animals feel" is because from a marketing stand point that mentality would lessen the "fun" had beating these things for generations. So it's a strategic decision on that point, as to whether or not that'd affect your score still idk. But food for thought.
@aldngashy96474 жыл бұрын
I did watch it till the end and i must say your review is really good. Good job

You got some valid points about the clutchclaw, that is what worries me. Other than that I'm looking forward to playing it friday. Oh and the sound of making a well done steak on the BBQ out in the field,its the best sound ever, first the funny music and when you hit the button on the right time, the sizzling off the steak. So satisfying.
@drakejohnson53864 жыл бұрын
I am a IG main, and the clutch claw addition feels like it is only adding another timer before I need to reset the fight. What I mean is that you need to buff your self with the kinsect and that lasts, with triple buff, 90 seconds. The clutch claw on IG requires 2 hits to wound the part and that part stays wounded for only 60 seconds. So I have 2 timers + mantles to keep track of and I often find myself in a situation where I just weaken a part and my triple buff has 10 seconds left. I remember that the kinsect triple buff originally was 60 seconds then went to 90. I hope the clutch claw gets buffed by having the debuff not going away as fast. Also using the clutch claw with the IG unsheathed seems so cumbersome when compared to using it with my weapon sheathed. Thoughts?
@angeljohnclamonte90984 жыл бұрын
For the sound effect they could make like an end game thing where you could use a special sound effect when hitting a monster or with different weapon like for example with hunting horn whenever you hit the enemy you would hear a boop something like that and with different sound effect on other weapon

Heya. About 19:40. One of the reasons I love the Monster Hunter series is that it's so consistently cheerful and upbeat, despite some of the more menacing monsters out there. That sort of thing really helps get me through tough days. We don't exactly have a shortage of games focusing on darker stuff, so I'd like the story of Monster Hunter to stay pretty much the way it is.

Really surprised Capcom only just now gave you a review copy, I've been playing for 2 weeks now. But getting through the story in one day, kudos, I just finished it two days ago lol, but then again I spent a lot of time with sidestuff to unlock all the extra things. I'm capped on MR49 rn due to the T3 quest, but finishing up the last few 4star MR quests before I do that...and then it's all out on the Guiding Lands...that shit is gonna keep me busy for a very long time, especially when I can finally play with my MH buddies. And then there are still all the treasure hunts, lynean researcher photos and rare endemic life...I barely did half of those yet.

Most iconic sound for me is probably the dull thud of a minor hit breaking my combo. They or getting the flap/roar noise 2-3 times in a row (usually followed by the rathalos ascending, fire balling my feet then the crunch clunk as my locked down avatar is forced to tumble). Good noises, kinsect return, successful shield and the sound of a tail landing on the ground with a wet thud.

There's also utility to it besides any attacks it provides and I'd probably hope that it falls more on that utility side of things than outright damaging side.
