I actually didn't think about using Brave style with Resentment until you mentioned it. Would make managing the uptime for Resentment much easier than what I'm doing in Gen. Will make Resentment a key skill for Brave as well, instead of a "for fun" skill like in Gen.

Also watching the Gauge closely, I can't tell if dashing actually lowers the gauge further. The Gauge just drops at a good pace normally. On the other hand, attacking seems to briefly stop and even refill the gauge only if ever so slightly.

Kitsonni The Rec Speed Down want be as necessary, not while doing Brave counters, as your health will drop before you attack. -1 at most might be helpful. Also, I have a mixed set in Gen(of course) that has Resentment, Rec Speed Down 2, Resuscitate & Bubbly Dance, that I use with Adept HBG/Gunpowder and Akantor Skysounder. With charm/talon and Atk L food buff I'm reaching 303 raw. Picture something similar with G rank Skysounder and the potential for more armor skills.

If you pay close attention to the LS part, you can tell that the counter move is actually the first Spirit Slash, as evidenced by the Spirit Gauge consumption and the flash of light the hunter emits when using it. Also, like I said previously, it uses up the Spirit Gauge, so at least that is required to use it.

Bryanneo1 Cuz some weapons don't exactly mesh well with some styles or are just barely passable (like Adept GS or Aerial LS), while others are absolutely amazing (say, Striker SA and Adept Bow). I'm just hoping they're in the latter category. HH is the one I'm hoping for the most, because as nice as Adept and Aerial are with it (Striker kinda loses out because of the lackluster HA choices), the same old same old Guild Style ends up winning out in most cases.

I would like to see more Deviants added, you know at least two more other than the new Diablos, and with this expansion it would be nice to see some elder dragons returning, I really liked Dalamadur, and slaying a Jhen/Dahren Mohran is an amazing experience for first timers, though I think nobody really cares about other elders like Dire Miralis or Gogmazios... well the least they could do is make their weapons and armor accesible through material trading like the Wycoon did in mh4u if they don't add the monsters directly to the game

brave longsword sounds absurdly too good for its own good. And this Brave style sounds perfect down my lane, I've soloed so many quests that I've learned most monster patterns by heart. None more than deviljho and dinovaldo tho, 300 G rank solo of jhos for a gold crown and 190 total dinovaldo solos normal and deviant combined to make equipment...I already adept lance them almost to perfection with my adept counters as it is, give me this brave style AND BOOM. What other thing I wonder though is what lvl will deviants be now. They were at max lvl 10 before but I imagine the deviant armors are still gonna be useful but can be upgraded even further now with higher lvl deviant quests, I imagine between 15-20 and that somewhere along the way they must unlock an additional skillset, or maybe 20 points into a soul skill is gonna upgrade it to include a skill or 2 more.

doesn't look like you even have to press a button, I'm fairly sure it just automatically dodges whatever hits you when you're in that Y stance. won't be difficult at all.

I don't know if it was the armor or a skill they had on the hammer user but it looked like if the gague is in the max state when you charge the brave move the stamina went down slower and there was no signs of health depletion.

You know all that shit about that you need to know all'bout the monster and also control the style in order to be efficient with Brave style? the same was said with bushido and I went threw most of the game with bushido katana(when I got rank unlocked I started playing other weapons and styles but I mean the main key quest progression) Brave style looks dope, looks like a Very interesting style to play and a very powerfull too, I'm gonna buy a switch to play JP ver if they don't announce a MHXX western release date as late as september 2017 and I'm gonna do Brave DB just cuz now I'm kinda a lot into bushido DB but I don't know cuz I also like SA and GS and LS and well... IG and all that but yeah, Imma rock brave from start to finish and I won't need to be an expert to use it perfectly

For an aggressive play, why does the evade move you backwards? It looks real clunky to have to sheathe your weapon to do your special attacks. It might be decent for weapons like Hammer whose Adept was a pain to use, but I don't see it beating Adept on many other weapons unless it gets two Hunter Arts.

That's a choice, you can evade from a Brave stance if you feel you won't be able to make any kind of attack. Once you do that you can immediately start running too to avoid any further attacks. You can also simply go into an attack from the stance. With the gauge fill you simply have your new moves at the ready

And seeing how crazy the style is and the moves it can come with, I wouldn't be surprised if this style offered you no hunter arts.

No, that's not how cartridge games work. And they can't sell it at a lower price, otherwise people who didn't buy the first one will be getting more content for less money. Luckily for you, you get to save all your gear and progress from MHX.
