Monster Miata by Cardiac Cobra

Built in 94, this Monster is #4 of nine built.by Cadiac Cobra. It has a 90 Ford H/O 5.0 that was recently on the Dyno showing 260hp at 4300rpm with 1076Ftlbt.
Shorty Headers, 2" exhaust, with "X Pipe" , Flowmaster Mufflers, Ford T5 Transmission, 87 T-Bird 7.5 Rear Dif with Ltd. Slip. New rear axels from Monster Motorsports in San Diago, adjustable rear struts, lower sway bars front and rear, 15" Panasport rims with 205/50/15 tires front, 225/50/15 tires rear. Structural Roll Bar to keep the car from twisting from all the tourque!
This car weighs less than 2700 lbs! It has an almost perfect weight and balance, 54% up front / 46% rear. This combined with the power makes for SIMPLY AMAZING THROW YOU BACK IN YOUR SEAT PERFORMANCE!

Thanks! Good ear. Worse than a tapping lifter actualy. Bottom end has a major problem, thanks to an unnamed company that over filled with oil....4 ltrs over! Im going to pull the motor and replace it with a crate Boss 302 this coming spring. Should be pushing 300hp at the wheels then, LOL! I'll put up another video as soon as its in.

Do you still own the Miata? My dad was a mechanic at Cardiac Cobra when they made these. I remember watching these being transformed :)

That's too cool. I was told they only made Nine. Mine being #4. I owned it for Eleven years. I sold it about 6 years ago to a local gentleman, after a local Transmission Shop here in Sidney killed the motor. The new owner did a full rebuild. Had the car painted. And for some reason removed the X-Pipe ( older guy.. didn't like how loud it was ) I hope one day to buy it back

The car was on the Island the entire time I had it. No air care here. That gave me the ability to loose tha cats The car originaly came from White Rock, and did have an Air Care Pass certificate. You should have no problem with todays slimmer cat units. If you want to go all out, just intsall electronic bye pass. She'll be loud... But Fun!!!

your paint doesn't match.Either the right front fender has been resprayed or the door and quarter has and you have a major top end tick. doesnt sound like lifter either i got a 1991 Mariner blue Mega Monster Chris at Monster Motorsports built for my 16th birthday.He ised a crate GT40,Stroked it to 347,heads were ported and flowed,also turbo swirled running a a 16psi S Trim.Dynoed at 474in 1991.iIts nowvgotba Cts-V rear and 31splineMagnum T56 and with some tuning upgrades and a new 18PSI PROCHARGER set up __In 2011 we had Flying Miata build my dads BRG#309 with a LS3, 1997 Viper T56 and also a CTS-V rear with custom titanium half shaftsand of course 5 lug conversions on both. man. im not being rude at all but you REALLY NEED to get that top end ticking figured out before it causes a bigger issue. you spent good money',keep it alive and healthy man.Update me if you vwoild. ive got loads of super high end SVT/GT40 302 PTS. IBE GOT MATCHING UPPER AND LOWER EXTRUDE HONED Edelbrock heads and intake,5 dif ford roller cams from the B303 to an X303. custom miayav302 headers.1.6 & 1.7 roller rockers.SVT PUSHRODS. i also have a complete built forged motor withba custom intake made from carbon fiber that Steve Saleen made for an IROC car. id like to help u with that ticking.
