Looking up how the 5e kraken looks like , I definitely prefer your version of it! Their description of sleeping until something happens at the beginning reminded me a lot of cthulhu (iä iä fhtagn), so fighting one of them would probably be quite epic (although, as we know, you can banish them back to r'lyeh by ramming into them with a boat)

Alexander Wirth actually my plan is to have it scheming to raise Tiamat. He wants to be the king with her as his King. But his hubris will be his undoing and the players will be rushing to finish a ritual to banish the dragons while Tiamat and the Dracolich battle. I think there will be skills checks for avoiding the breath overspray as well as minions the players will have to fend off that are trying to stop the ritual.

My party has seen the effects of a kraken (Kraken Row is a shoreline in our homebrew setting that is a 30 mile stretch of rocky beach covered with ship wreckage and whale carcasses swept up from the deep), but they never have fought one, although they plan to attempt to claim the bounty for the kraken. I'm dreading that inevitable TPK.

Arcane Forge I've slowly become addicted to. It's one of the things I look forward to on a Monday (The list is quite short) And I don't know how to describe how awesome I'd feel if you got around to drawing a NOTHIC! I've loved the monster for such a long time and it's one of the monsters that influenced me to become a Dungeon Master purely for the chance to throw it into a campaign as an actual influential villain, the first one my party will face at low levels. Either way, love every single one of these videos and drawings. Please please please, keep up the awesome roll of content! :D

Actually, never got the DM to tell me, but they got married and had a child :3 so maybe jajaj I mean... I know how difficult that would be, so I think it was more of a mutual curiosity and respect, since they both have different kinds of magic (he was particularly interested in the bard's "heart" music) and she was like super curious and open to the dragon's deep weightings and wisdom.

I really love the Kraken as a Monster. However I do have my problem with making him a threat to my Players who are very much a Land group. So I figured that they all make a Charakter that is either a Sea elf, a Water Genasi or (my favourite Race) a Triton. They would encounter those charakters in their adventure and they see that they also make progress and then they will play those Charakters to fight the Kraken. However I also made the "normal" Surface characters fight against the Cult of the Kraken. Fighting against the Mad Lich Priest, who first awakend the Kraken, and his Army of Deep Scions.
