_Rakshasa are the bane of my D&D existence, and the bane of my drawing existence._ _I can't draw normal hands, what makes people think I can draw backwards hands._

Hands are tough! You'll definitely be forgiven for not wanting to put them on backwards!
@jackharamija49137 жыл бұрын
AD&D has always been my favorite edition and I can attest that is the AD&D monster manual says that "Rakahasa's stand 6 to 7 feet tall and weigh between 250 and 300 pounds. They have no uniform apperence but manifest as huminoid creatures with bodily features of various beasts (most commonly tigars and apes)."

Great video. I love facing shape shifters in game. Although these come uniquely and are a little harder to find than doppelgangers. I'm a big fan of your channel and can't wait to see what you do next.
@ArcaneForge7 жыл бұрын
Hey, Dylan. Same here, it's always fun to make story lines involving shape shifters, because, even knowing that they're in the game, players still take a while to connect the dots. It can make for great mysteries. Thank you so much for your kind words as well, I really appreciate your support. Thanks for watching!

I had no idea about these guys! I love how this little community is growing, yet you're not unreachable like so many other KZbinrs. As for a request, how about a mimic? That'd be cool!
@ArcaneForge7 жыл бұрын
Hey, Lee. Thank you for your extremely kind words. I'm completely in love with this community. Everyone, so far, is hugely supportive and filled with energy. It empowers me every morning when I read through the comments with a coffee. Mimics are amazing and definitely need to go on the list if they're not already. Thank you for the suggestion and for watching!

Manh creatures from my country’s mythology had backwards hands, from how I understand: backwards hands and feet were a sign of being unholy, monstrous, linked to the devil. This explanation can be applied to this cat demon thing

Been waiting for it! I just love Rakshasas
@falconforgefantasy94967 жыл бұрын
Just found you, the content here is great. One thing to note, the Rakshasa can use Disguise self at will, not 3 times a day. Meaning it can definitely stay in its hidden form for as long as it desires.
@ArcaneForge7 жыл бұрын
Hey, RidersOfRohan. Cheers for this! Is this a 4e thing? I couldn’t find that in 5e. If it’s in 5e, I’d be way more inclined to use this awesome monster regularly! Cheers for watching!
@falconforgefantasy94967 жыл бұрын
Arcane Forge it's In 5e. The 3/day spells are listed after disguise self not prior to it. In the monster Manual he has an at will section, then a 3/day, then a 1/day. For Rakshasa. How the book has it laid out can sometimes be confusing.

So I'm planning to use one of these as the leader of a cult group of tabaxi. The story idea is that there's a blessed tomb that brings people near death or very recently killed back to life. It also makes them more powerful after that (This is an excise for our friend to go away for like a year and a half and come back and still play) But pretty much I'll have there be Tabaxi that want to get into the tomb to get their leader out, who has been ready to wake up for a long while but can't on his own. They ask us to fight back the ghosts so they can get to their leader. We do that, only to realize that the leader we're helping to bring back is a Rakshasa. Not a Tabaxi. And the ghosts and things are gardians trying to stop his return. Also being from the 9 hells, maybe his presents in the tomb has been causing issue of balance and summoning evil undead? Idk, if you have any thoughts or recommendations for this let me know

Another interesting monster, I would have never thought existed in D&D. Watching these really makes me want to get back into drawing, so thank you. I had forgotten how much fun it actually is to see a drawing come to life. If requests are open, could we see Orcs added to the Que?
@ArcaneForge7 жыл бұрын
Hey again, johann. You know that noone has suggested Orcs yet, and I was really looking forward to drawing them! So thank you. Thank you as well for your compliments. Let me know if you start drawing again. Always love to see other people's art! Cheers for the suggestion and for enjoying the video!

Arcane Forge I found your fb page, and I started on a friends character from our current game yesterday. When I'm done I'll be sure to share it there. And no problem they're one of my favorite creatures in d&d, sadly I haven't found something exotic in the game to love XD. And another congrats I looked at your channel yesterday and 2.8k(?) subs!

This is hilarious as I was just discussing this with a friend of mine who is running a 40K Dungeon Dragons game they have these creatures in their campaign I'm not going to lie this is one of the few creatures I don't know a lot about when it comes to Dungeons and Dragons and always constantly trying to work out why one of the chaos gods in the form of slaanesh would have a large contingent of these working for her now I know thank you very much =)

Hinduism isnt a mythology yet, technically a religion. Though some may argue i believe, as an atheist they don’t know the difference, which is a mythology isn’t believed on a large scale. Hinduism is a very popular belief, therefore is a religion.
@ArcaneForge7 жыл бұрын
Good point, KingDM6. I tend to use the word "mythology" to differentiate the stories and legends that are a part of a religion, as opposed to it's philosophies and moral teachings etc. So to me, it's just a subsection of the umbrella term; "religion", rather than a different or disphemistic way of describing a religion. Maybe I'm wrong about that, who knows? Either way, it's a good point to make, and I'm glad you did. Thanks for watching.

Dear Arcaneforge I had an idea for a series of videos similar to this series. It would be a highlight on magical items (swords,armour,etc.) Sort of an opportunity to draw one of a kind items and go into depth about them and how to use them in campaigns. I thought of this idea and love your content and wanted to suggest and offer some new ideas for videos.
@ArcaneForge7 жыл бұрын
Hey, Andrew. I totally want to do a series like this with magical weapons! Totally want to do that, so thank you for the suggestion and for your compliments! I'll have to figure out how to pepper them into my regular videos but I'm excited! Thank you.
@andiebrown77927 жыл бұрын
Arcane Forge thank you for your feedback. If you'd again like a suggestion for a magical item, I came upon this item recently that my friend (my campaigns DM) created. Boat in a box: this wooden box is stained with water marks all along it. When speaking the command word it morphs into a large sailing boat.
