Water is probably chilly wade out of you can if they are running you should a lot of action on top of water...shrimp as well as cut bait works well...for artificial lure something shiny/flashy

you are right . . . the jighead was to cast further. Redfish feed on the bottom, so with live bait cast it out and let it sit. They will smell it and seek it out.

Blair, you need to come to galveston bay for reds. Bull reds working the jetties and inland reefs daily. If you get tired of that then change up for spotted sea trout. If you get tired of that then sheephead. Then flounder. Then offshore for some pelagics.
