For those who found teh video, there is a follow up post of the artist of teh Aftercare wich in short: - During un-petrification, light strechs are important since the body remain in the same position for a while (minutes to a few hours) - Re-hydrating is also more important then normal since petrification can cause a faster loss of liquids during the reverting process.

@Kalebfenoir8 ай бұрын
That might be an additional kink for Gorgons; sensory deprivation involving vision. Since their power comes from their stone gaze, being denied that probably is...fun...for them. But you'd have to remember to bring a lot of little blindfolds for all her snake dreads. LoL. Unless what they see isn't what she can see, like they have their own minds.
@jhoncater2278 ай бұрын
That would not work according to mythology supposedly only the blind and those looking at a reflection were unaffected but then thiers stories where even blind men were truned too stone because her ability is supposed to be able to turn any living thing into stone but the only problem is then how was perseus able to kill her because he was still looking at her unless he took her head from behind also if she turned every living thing to stone how did she eat because she has too see an animal before killing it with her arrow. The myth is unclear if the snakes were able too turn people to stone themselves and whether or not she could communicate with them.

@zomfragger8 ай бұрын
@@jhoncater227 It truly depends on where the story is from. Most modern gorgon are depicted like Asian Lamia only with ability to turn you to stone. Not the fully four legged one from Mexico. Asian Lamias are snake women with most having an upbody of a woman and lower half of a snake. Depending on the culture they can be divine or demon like. In China the color of the lamia's scales depicts whether you are getting a blessing or a curse. White scales means a god is liking you and has sent her to be your protector or wife. Green scales means you pissed a god off but you most likely will live. Black scales get you butt to the temple and start confessing and repenting because the gods are super pissed. In Japan white scales are divine so be on your best behavior. Other colors you have three options, run, find away into her kimono, or become dinner.

History is not static. The Greeks depicted gorgons as hideous monsters, yes, with wings of gold, claws of bronze, and boar-like tusks. In Roman depictions, gorgons tend to be depicted as beautiful (albeit snake-shrouded) women. This, one should note, was not some terrible betrayal of the tale's origins: reinterpretation of existing tales was *massively* common in Greek poetry, and this is because the Greek mythos doesn't have a canon, but rather holds that the Muses allow a poet to tap into divine truths through furor poeticus.
