*Here is my custom 'bountiful permadeath' challenge if you want to try and set a high score for it:* monstertrain://challenge/RadiusDanceNewton Video Note - Monster Train is constantly changing according to community feedback and a small selection of the cards you see in the background gameplay have somewhat changed in the recent launch build. The card overlays I manually added during each section, reflect some of these updated units and spells.

Since the challenge is with hell train on you can only do it with other players, nobody played it yet. it's a bit sad because the challenge was really fun, I ran a copy just without hell train: monstertrain://challenge/InkjetBoxingUnique

@@vitekprchal8608 yeah, i only won once in 60 attempts [covenant 1] and 1 more win before that as plant people, its very hard to get a good run or you get unwinnable situations and many cards are just weak and useless. But i really got hooked to this game, just not much sense to go for all covenant difficulties for no rewards. I was hoping those gold rim cards will be stronger.
@vitekprchal86084 жыл бұрын
@@RomanowRomanow1 Yep. I like the game too. But sometimes its just too random. I just cannot pull off any of its cool stuff. Only way I won is just picking good avoken units, upgrade them and heal them.

No Edge If you’re looking to improve your win rate, something that has helped me on covenant 25 is having a flexible game plan. With each card choice and path selection, you should be asking yourself what problems your deck has and which ways you can play/make decisions that will solve those problems. Ways to deal with backline, fast/strong single target for beefy non bosses, and ways to scale damage in order to beat the boss. Your champion is a great build around, but if you focus all your attention purely on your champion, depending on the champion/situation, leave your deck open to other threats your champion couldn’t deal with on its own.

Another few great combinations I've found were: 1) Stygian + Melting Remnant - Spell Weakness + Mass Minion deaths. Use a lot of Remnant spells and units that give bonuses on death, and have one revival spell with holdover. Bonus points goes if you have Draw+Discard and Offer spells, which allow for massive damage output and sap. Key for this build is to have either frostbite or spell weakness siren (Get her Mulitistrike and Damage if possible.) at the bottom with your hero, fronted by a very tanky unit (Which preferably has Endless.). Middle and Top floor should be filled with units who die a lot but have enough clear to prevent enemies damaging your pyre. Don't be afraid to just drop your units to die on these two floors - Their deaths benefit you greatly. With enough stacks you can deal up to 4k HP to an enemy - Especially good for clearing Flying Bosses. Also make sure not to pop spell weakness before its time. 2) Rage + Armor Hellhorned champion w/ Remnant. The key here is to add burnout and endless to your Imps. It's essentially an Imp build where Imps act a lot more like spells than minions. You won't be taking many Remnant cards here, but a few important ones are Revival cards, Burnout cards and at least one or two spell cards for clear. The key is to buff up your champion or one of the other big minions with constant Imp casting. Use your do not upgrade Torch spells - Use them to trigger rage on your champion - 2 damage is nothing in return for 3 or 6 rage, depending if you have hat Rage enhancing unit on the same floor...

Stigyan + umbra is actually better because of the multi hits + amber spells. A bit of spell weakness gg

Your video was the final push I needed to get the game and I am having a blast with it 😁 My first win was with The Stygian Guard with Awoken as allied. Was able to make frostbite build and kill the final boss with 999 frostbite stacked 😎
@Glalev4 жыл бұрын
That combo is one that works amazingly well. The survivability of the Awoken helps make up for the slow burn nature of the stygian guard's units. My own favourite is setting up a lot of totems behind the sentient or an hollow and then spam healing and cheap combat spells to build up frostbite, armor and other such effects.

the umbra isnt difficult you just take your smol bois, and feed them to the big bois so they go big mode

So: Red: fast units, direct damage, aggressive, poor defenses, but that can be mitigated with armor Green: defensive, healing, thorns, lots of health, poor offensive, but that can be mitigated with thorns Purple: spells, direct damage, discarding cards, damage over time Black(?): sacrifice units and health to grow your units or gain other bonuses. Poor survivability, high-risk, high reward. Blue: powerful and cheap units that don't last long, effects that synergize with your units dying. Green + red, green + black and black + blue sound like they'd really complement each other. I'm not sure where to fit purple, tho.
@TheGermanoidProject4 жыл бұрын
I played a lot with purple and really like them. I have not the feeling they don't synergize well. Purple + Green = Green has a lot of spells who trigger Incant of purple units and has tanky dudes who protect your often fragile casters. I feel like stings are made for this combination. also, regen stacking is nice too. I like to make green the main clan and use the champ as bulky thorn tank. Purple + Red = Amour stacking incant with battering ram is insane. My record was 33k dmg on the final boss with 2,2k life. Also, imps work fine with casters, especially in combination with a (or more) consumer of crowns. Purple + Black = Black has a lot of ways to trigger Incant and feeding purple utility units with some life and damage are not bad. Like giving Coldcaelia (swipe + 3x frostbite on strike) multistrike and flat dmg. But you might need to plan ahead with that one to have a stable boss killer (like the overgorger or heavy frostbite stacking). It might not be an easy combination, but I don't think it's a bad one. I don't have blue yet, so I can't really comment on that one yet. But they seem to have lot of casts too.
@siegfried14224 жыл бұрын
Purple fits well with Green and Red. Red has a lot of low health units that can hide behind Purple's incant HP or armor buffs, or you can have your purples hide behind Red's armor buffing units as well, depending on what cards you draft. Purple and Green are both very spell heavy, so they tend to feed on each other's strengths and combine them; especially with how Frontliner heavy green is, compared to the large backlines of Purple.
@g.s.6515 ай бұрын
Black and green do go together well because black can hide behind green when necessary and green grows very very big if allowed to flourish, which morsel minions help with. Morsels can heal, you see, and green can both increase and cause damage from healing.
Recently unlocked the Umbra. The 1st run with them and Red gave me very strong life steal build with the champ soloing everything on the 1st floor for the last half of the run.

@@gaballard The remnant champion can do it as well just by units burning out on the same floor, if I can I use two lots of accumulator with one dark calling and a good tank infront of him. A good tip as well is not to have too many cards, if your deck is too big you'll just be waiting for the right cards too much. I usually try to get rid of the stewards as soon as possible and usually upgrade spells before units unless I get something I really want to push early on. Another thing as well, watch the capacity on each floor when it comes to the last wave you want options if there's some squishy units in play.

I would not classify any of the clans to be in the "easy" category or necessarily the "hard" category in this game. Sub in the word "medium" if that makes more sense to you.
