Video about MTM2 Secrets and some funny stuff in the game. Also you might wanna use a "glide wrapper" to emulate a 3dfx card with this game, so YOU won't get these graphic problems.

You could go into some of the square temple ruins on Aztec Valley as well, and I always liked the sunken wreck just off the track towards the end of Voodoo Island. Played so much of this game, loved all the little secrets. I was so stoked when I found the torture room all on my own. Stellar game.

SAME. Damned thing. I think I eventually got used to it, but it was definitely unsettling at first. Especially getting stuck down in the water with that creepy thing, and it sounding slightly distorted from the water. Just nope.

There's also a semi-hidden trail in Crazy 98. In the original MTM1, there was a dirt trail that led from the crowd to the bridge. In MTM2, the trail is 'gone' (not textured), but the terrain is still the same and the path still sorta exists. Because mtm2 tracks have one water level, there is water over parts of it but it's easily passable.

This game was a part of my childhood tbh. Figuring out how to get the chopper to land me on top of the barn and hoarding destructables into a pile and driving through the edges of the map.

So what’s the minimum a largely computer-illiterate person-who doesn’t currently even have a working computer of any kind-would need to play this old gem reasonably well? It’s been more than 15 years, and I miss this game. Midtown Madness 1 & 2 and Motocross Madness as well. Anyone here have any advice on what hardware to try and track down on a limited budget? Note: Despite only being in my late 20’s, I am a dinosaur and do *NOT* get along with computers. Electronics in general, really. The less technical crap I have to fiddle with, the better. I’d almost just try and get my hands on an old early-2000’s PC like I used to use, but I fear it’d likely just conk out and make me start looking around again anyway. Most electronics don’t seem to age particularly well, in my experience.
@TheArisStoss2 жыл бұрын
Im guessing you had the same three game package of motorcross/midtown madness and monster truck madness 2... ahh the good old days.
@Armaldo4682 жыл бұрын
@@TheArisStoss Yep! Good ol’ days indeed. Man, I played the hell out of all those back in the day. And I still would, if only I had a damn computer. I still have the original CD-ROMs I’ve had for like 20 years-it’s just the computer issue keeping me from playing so many beloved old games. In addition to screwing around in Monster Truck Madness 2 in ways similar to the video, I’d love to go back to launching other cars with tractors, buses, and firetrucks in the Midtown Madness games, and doing idiotic stunts and crashing into other riders in Motocross Madness. (I’d also probably be a lot better at completing serious tasks in all these games now than I used to be, although I’d need to get a compatible controller; it’s been a very long time since I played all my old games with a keyboard, and I won’t have the feel for it anymore. If I try that keyboard deal now, I’ll probably be worse instead of better.) My favorite things to do in Motocross Madness were screwing with my rivals and seeing how ridiculously I could wipe out-especially using that something-or-other Dumpster stunt. Can’t remember the exact name. It’s the one where your character thinks dismounting and standing on the bike in midair is a brilliant idea, and it’s almost impossible to land without wrecking. Also in that game, did you ever drive up the side of certain cliffs in certain maps and drive far enough that some unseen force launched you back across the map like a freakin’ missile? It’s priceless. Absolutely priceless. If you never experienced that, it’s definitely worth doing at some point. Hell, it’s probably possible to find a video of it as well, if all else fails. It’s funny as hell.
@TheArisStoss2 жыл бұрын
That was exactly what I was going to mention about motocross madness. The cliffs throwing you like you were shot out a cannon made no sense but was funny as hell

@@TheArisStoss Great minds! Perhaps it was that game’s version of the typical invisible wall kinda thing in many games. If so, it’s the best version of that limitation. I’d much rather laugh my ass off at suddenly getting catapulted out of nowhere than just run into a plain wall that isn’t even drawn. I’m pretty sure I lost it when I first stumbled upon that launching mechanic as a kid. It’s certainly the last thing anyone expects when they go up a cliff!😂 It made kind of a fun sound during the launch, too, if I remember right. I think it was a really loud **smack** sound, as though someone really big just slapped you really hard and sent you flying at Mach 1.
