Awesome video, will be ordering and doing this myself. I was worried about Loctite Blue on oil coated threads, but Loctite themselves state it's "suitable for use on oil-coated fasteners without cleaning".

That's a great video and you guys make awesome products. I've been a machinist for 38 years. If I was doing the install I would put the tap into my drill. Most wheels are aluminum and with a good cutting oil like tap magic it would go in like butter. Don't ever tap aluminum dry. A tap extension would come in handy so the drill chuck would be further away from the wheel hub. By using a drill you would also have a better chance of achieving a 2B thread since you wouldn't have the potential for side to side motion from the ratchet. Installing these on some wheels would prove difficult. Perpendicularity would be the number 1 factor in order to get the gasket to seal properly. The valve looks heavy. How much weight will they add at the rim? Would the wheels need to be rebalanced?

Thank you for the tips! We started using a ratchet tap wrench behind the scenes but I wanted to use basic home tools for the video. Monster Valve are made from 7018 aluminum, are mostly hollow and weigh about 25 grams each. It's near enough to the weight of removed material from the wheel that we have never found a rebalance to be necessary.

Helpful video. I really think you guys should make a version that fits standard valve stem holes and has a TPMS sensor mount for those of us who would be happy to ditch standard valve stems.

I don't specifically know anyone in Ventura. I would find a local 4x4 club or facebook group and ask around for recommended shops. There are 4x4 and fabrication shops in your area. Any one that can drill and tap a hole can install Monster Valves.
