I am not sure if I can go fishing with you again. After watching this? I had to sit at the table for 45 minutes and slow my breathing down. Get up and walk away from the laptop and outside and listen to the cow's mooing in the distance to get centered again. Wow. I'm 63 now. It's been a while. Bestest videos I watch from home ( NJ was for 37 years. ) I saw in the fisherman there's been some caught in the surf and Raritan Bay. All the best and blessings and safe travels.

@@overboardfishing oh. I never saw the story just this comment up top. I wouldn't be too shocked though. I saw a shark while fishen by the bug light at the mouth of the Raritan. Dolphin( porpoise)got lost back in the Shrewsbury River pretty deep a decade or two ago. Saw a seal while fishen off my dock in Highlands just south of the bridge. Stranger things have happened.

Congrats on an epic journey, that fish took you through the ringer and blessed you with a story that makes you the legend you are becoming. We made the run on Tunaholic to the Lindy this past weekend, only 1 fish in the deep with the fleet and the rest were all up on the flats without a boat in site. Go find your own fish and the rewards are endless!!!!!

Chris outstanding video! Watched it twice. Had to watch it on the big tube. Also sent it to my friend I tuna fish with, loads of knowledge in it. You’re an inspiration to the sport of tuna fishing and fishing in a hole. My wife will watch it also, she’s with the grand kids now. The fishing gods are sure with you, best fishing video I have seen yet. I’m getting ready to make a tuna video, the darn shark ate 2/3 rds of my tuna as I was fighting my tuna. Awesome video! Wish I could share photos here! We were just in Panama and got 25 Yellowfin over 60lbs each in one day between 4 of us on my buddy’s 75ft Viking. Two of them were right at 200lbs and several 150’s all hand fed on 60-80lb test I threw up twice it was soooo hot soooo humid and my buddy’s one being the boat owner are absolute animals! It was pure chaos & insanity!

The 43 doesn't fit. And the S/SW wind really cranks back there making it not very protected for the Contender. I kept my last boat behind the house (a 34 Flybridge) and it got beat to hell

I look at ripcharts/terrafin. network with a few other guys. This day I was trolling at about 6 knots. trolling speed isn't as important as how the lures are looking/swimming. it'll change based on ocean conditions.

One of the last trips was out on same thing zero life and zero bait. Every time I would go over the lump I’d read one or two fish that was it. But I was still catching. Would have never stopped there if I didn’t plan on fishing that lump. The trip after that got one whiff of the fishiness, saw one or two chicks in a small slick and pulled a couple fish out of it
