From the 80’s in a 21’ center console fishing of fernandina beach, ne Fla. it’s an adventure, limited technology, paper fish finders and the newest thing,,,loran for navigating. Oh my were we brave going 40-50 miles from dirt. Anyway your raw unfiltered video reminded me of my youth and the friends❤️. We were kinda stupid by today’s standards but we caught fish!!! Anyway my boat always was mass chaos after braving the trip. Thanks for bringing back memories of my youth. And no matter where you are there’s always not safe idiots.

so cool man. That's kinda how our fathers fished in the 90s. Loran. Gas tanks strapped down. They had lots of good stories. I remember running out of fuel after an overnighter just a few miles off the beach. We caught flounder while we waited for the extra fuel
@tombrown75777 ай бұрын
@@reaperfishingnj8623 I had a 21 foot Mako CC and would run over 40 miles out at night on a full moon to the Mango Hole. Had a Sitex Loran and a paper recorder. Loran antenna broke on the way out in rough seas. went fro 2 to 3 to 6 to 8'seas in just a few minutes. two hours out and almost 8 hours just to come in about 25 miles north of the inlet and just about out of gas but we made it. Never again! Think it was 1976 off Daytona Beach.

23 Contender Tuna fisherman as well . we fish the Block Island Canyons. When we hook up , esp on BFT, we fight them up at the bow and maneuver the boat to keep the fish and fisherman fighting on one side of the boat and keep the fish away from the engines. Obviously not an option when doubled up but that is how we deal with the outboards like you asked.

Was that fisharound a charter boat or private? Thinking it was a charter and that I know who it was... Theres one guy that runs a fish around and thats a giant prick who stepped on whoever he needed to so he could get those pro-staff stickers. Helped the guy get started, bailed him out testifying when he got sued for hurting a customer because he doesnt know when to pull back on the throttles, ran a bunch of trips where I got stiffed cause he as a policy collected the tips himself and never when I or other deckhands were there to see what they and somehow coincidentally he got a bunch of charters that all didn't tip... or he just pocketed it. A couple years back he made a big deal about going on Facebook and talking about all the guys that were working for him and that were the greatest, but forgot the 3-4 of us that had experience he didnt have and that nursed him over the basics only to get forgotten when those team jerseys started coming in. Just the right mix of stupid and selfish to run down those fish you had working. Guy is gonna get his one day, the way he treats people he'll be lucky if he doest find someone added a new raw water wash down in the form of a 4 inch hole saw thru his hull.... IFYKYK....
