I remember playing Dishonored on my xbox 360 with my best friend at the time, listening to this after school in my room after we came back from downtown (we'd always get into shenanigans)I also remember listening to this with my older sister when we would play cod together...... Till it's over: Refusing to bend to the rules of the tyranny and not stopping until it was brought down to the ground, even if the rest of the world went with them. Once Again: Building a fairer and more just empire from the ashes of calamity, as walls will rise Once Again.

Yeah, everyone writes about the nostalgia. Yeah, everyone writes about how they listened to it when they were depressed and that "I hope you know that it gets better." But there's not enough from the other side, right? I've always been depressed because I'm just not compatible with how the world works. It made me emotionally numb. It made me sociopathic. Everyone knew me as 'the poker-faced guy' at school. And of course I met a girl who rocked my world. She became the center of my world. She made me feel like I had something to live for. Hearing that she loved me was the most precious moment of my life. And of course that was a lie. This song has always been my favorite Monstercat song, though I've heard very little after the 30th volume and the split. I used to hear this song every time I thought of her; I remembered every detail from every conversation we had. And she remembered nothing of me. After she dumped me, I didn't listen to this song not because it was painful, but because it was too emotionally powerful for me. I only played it every night on her birthday. After learning more about the brain, I can confirm that depression is a vicious cycle. The further you let it disrupt you, the less receptive you are to treatment. And five years of loving her made me absolutely dead to anything. The meds or the psychiatrist didn't do anything. I was underweight. My hands would shake. I used to mumble her name at night. My supervisor told me about electroconvulsive therapy, a remarkable treatment that shows results even for severe cases of MDD. I thought that was my last hope. I conviced another psychiatrist that I needed it, and I got it. Six sessions. Did it work? Yes. It was like a reset button. I could think clearly. And I could stop thinking about her. However, it did not change my mind. I still hated society. I'm still unfit to live a normal life. And honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I know the things I want to do, and the things I still have to learn, primarily about how this remarkable organ works. But it ain't going to keep me running. My time's running out soon. There's a term, depressive realism. It isn't completely supported by research, but I think it checks out - if you believe with every fiber of your body that existence is pointless, you're going to not want to continue it. If you are hurting, for the love of whatever higher power you believe or don't believe in, get yourself checked up. Psychologists and psychiatrists are remarkable, they've seen so many people like you. There's not always a good social circle to save you, so you need to find the right people and the right support. Don't be stagnant. You do not want to end up like me. If anyone sees this and wants to comment that "Hope you're doing okay", I'm not. I cannot count the number of people who tell me that I'll be better someday. I will not be okay whenever you read this, no matter what happens. And also, I do not blame the girl for what happened to me, it was on me. Depression isn't necessarily because of any external factor, there's a lot to it. I'm writing this impulsive rant because I like to write. I write a lot. I didn't think I'd hear this song before her birthday, but I decided to do it a few days early. Guess you can quit old habits. I still remember.

This song is the only song I Remember by Tristam, too, and I guess that's just Who We Are. This song takes me on a Flight Till It's Over, but that's my Frame of Mind, and other people might think this song is where Tristam's Talent Goes By and hits Rock Bottom, and that's just the Truth. In my opinion this song is Flawless, and that's My Idea.
