20:09 is super useful! Also, this is a more weapon specific tip: But I'd like to add that, the moving water CC is considered a (no damage) active hitbox, like Tremors or Roars. This means that, countermoves also trigger on it. So things like Longsword's IS, ISS, or FSS can easily proc.
@Cygnet134 жыл бұрын
Wait, am I understanding you correctly, in that I can successfully foresight slash when she does what this video calls "rehydration" ?
@KaLam1ty_4 жыл бұрын
@@Cygnet13 Yes sir! You can basically "counter" that move. A useful movement option is to also FSS or Iai "into" a moving puddle to trigger a counter. And with FSS, the s (and its small hyper armor at the end) are usually long enough to clear the entire hitbox duration, too.

Best paired with a waterproof mantle because I’ve had instances where the end of the foresight slash actually put me in a flowing puddle, meaning I couldn’t follow up with a roundslash - and was even immobilized. Waterproof mantle means you can proc FSS on flowing puddles with much smaller risk.

I wish there was extra bits for HBG users as alot of attacks youre supposed to sheath against we simply dont get enough time to sheath against. Like rajangs body slam, i sheath the absolute second im done getting roar stunned and never make it in time and so i just try to roll away every time and never make it out of range. Or namielles water attack that goes left right left right, if im in the center and not close i pretty much get hit cause theres not much i can do. You have to twice but the roll takes so long that if i the first part i get hit mid roll when it comes back. Absolutely love this series though. Learn so much every time!
@mistergoose694 жыл бұрын
As for rajang, you dont have to sheathe. just keep walking away and dodge at the last few moments before he lands. Use the few s to dodge the front hitbox and after that you should be far enough already to not get hit by the lingering hitbox. For namielle's water beam tho..i think you can just roll to the front of her front legs immediately after you see the animation. I'm very rarely hit by that move. Evade extender might help for these 2 specific moves.

Nami's ultimate also has a much smaller attack just before the big boom. If it goes off before you're out of the area, it'll flinch you unless you have rocksteady or something similar, and it seems to be staggered with the later attack enough that it will mess up pre-emptive guard points or ls parrys.

One more thing about the Marching Beam, she always starts arcing it to her left then right. So if you happen to be close to her and infront of her, you can just circle around to your left. If you're far, you can try circling right but a dive is gauranteed to dodge it.
@Taxman_HH4 жыл бұрын
With normal Namielle, this used to be 100% of the time. But with AT Namielle, she does change it up sometimes like maybe 1 time out of 20 she will start on the other side. Ragegaming had a video about this too.
@ssj458goku4 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah you're right, somehow I forgot that when it was like the first difference i found about her lol
@boonmcvagabond96844 жыл бұрын
Namielle Also Has Charge states, her first is obviously no charge, where all of her attacks that would induce thunderblight and set off puddles dont do either of that, her next one is when she is half charged, where those attacks now set off water, and her third state is when she is fully charged, which you can tell by her orangish blue coloring no longer being present and her being fully electric blue colored, as well as her whiskers being fully blue, this makes it so that all the attacks that hit water cause that puddle to explode and all of the water that is touching that puddle to explode. her fully charged state is also the trigger for her supernova, i'm not sure about this when she is AT though. That being said, the water randomly exploding in a bigger radius isn't random at all, it has to do with how charged she is.

Fun fact: The Prefix "Nami" (波) means: Wave - in Japanese And the suffix "Elle" (Verb) means: She - in French Putting the name togeather it would literally translate to "Wave She" but it's probably supposed to be read as "She Waves".
@yeoldpubman4 жыл бұрын
Transliterations often miss the full meaning of a word or phrase, so guessing at a localized translation would probably give something like "Lady of the Waves" or "Little Tsunami." Obviously it's a made-up name so who knows without asking the MonHun team, but it's interesting to think about.

Thanks for putting this together, if there's anything that might let me win its putting your knowledge to work for me. The shock explosions can sometimes cover a pretty wide range. Slow weapons in particular might have trouble making enough distance, so with that in mind, I feel that shielded weapons have a considerable advantage in this fight, at least from the angle of safety. Even Sword and Shield can gratefully block in a pinch. On that note, I feel Evade Extender deserves some sort of mention for those having trouble, as it technically improves your mobility. This isn't exactly anything unique to Namielle, of course, but those shock explosions can be particularly tough to avoid outright, given how deceptively wide the hitboxes are and how long they linger. And maybe Quick Sheath could be handy as well, as the dive evade is suitable for a fair few of Namielle's attacks, depending on the circumstances. Just a thought.

If she follows something like the Electric Explosion up whit this, its very hard not to die. Supermove. Your unable to do any longer Combos because it can come out so randomly. I avoid Demondancing her because of that. Nobody found out what triggeres it, right? I thought she needs to be at least full Charged, but im no longer sure. @Taxman_HH4 жыл бұрын
Here are weapons that have slower sheathing than HH: CB, Lance, Gun Lance, HBG, SA. Other than switch axe, all of those weapons have Shields which means they don't have to dive. SA is usually built with evade extender and has many moves that increase disengage distance. HH has one of the slowest recovery speeds as well. So if HH can pull it off, certainly other weapons can too. The reason you see many people not evading isn't due to recovery or sheathing speeds, its to do with them overcommitting on their attacks.
