My kobold is a warlock... but doesn’t know who/what their patron is so they serve the strongest person they know that sticks around them (strong by combat ability, magic, or pure charm) They ended up being the servant of the bard... and luckily for some reason didn’t do anything weird... just abandoned them before the campaign ended

Depends on whether this is eastern or western rpg mechanics. Western mechanics can have a damage cap of like 1k or no cap at all while eastern mechanics generally have a soft cap of 9999 and a hard cap of 99999.

I think you never played Mystic Quest Legend for the SNES, because in this game you can one hit the Flamerus Rex (third boss, a red dinosaur skeleton) with the revive spell.

@@Linosek279 It's practically impossible to hit the damage cap in mystic quest. The damage cap is 65532 and the only way to reach it is using healing magic on the final boss. Even the most powerful attack magic only does about 2k damage to him.

No, it's not. From a newbies perspective, why wouldn't healing spells work on an undead. It gets damaged just the same as the living. Even to this day, I still find it a little weird that healing spells damage undead.

Fun fact: Kobolds are actually a type of goblin originating from Germanic folklore. Despite D&D lore, Kobolds are not related to dragons in any way as far as I'm aware.
