James dad was actually dying from kidney disease & this was his tribute & farewell to his dad. Thankfully his dad received a donor kidney & is doing okay now. If this song doesn't get to you emotionally, there is something wrong with you. This song resonates with me as I was my dad's caregiver for many years until he passed away 4 years ago.

James' Father was dying from Kidney disease and he wrote this song as a goodbye to his father. They were both Officers in the British military and when they would deploy they would tell each other, "I'm not your son, your not my father, we're just 2 grown men saying goodbye", it was there way of coping in case one of them didn't come home. So he used that in song brilliantly. Thankfully his father ended up receiving a Kidney transplant and is still with him. But this song is just incredibly sad and beautiful. I'm not sure how anyone sits through this and is not affected by it. ❤

So glad you let it go til the very end. That last second when his dad patted his arm is my favorite part of that video!! Powerful song. I lived that song with my dad 8yrs ago and literally had that conversation with him towards the end. Best talk we ever had!!

James Blunt's 7th album is coming out tomorrow and there are some more tearjerkers on the album! He's really great at writing about his personal experiences and making everyone else feel the emotions that he's feeling.

an i suggest a band which will triple your subs . They are my fav band to see reactions to on you tube. I think they have more views than any other band on youtube . Nightwish is the band and Wacken 2013 is my fave concert 15 song of class , hope to see you react to Nightwish you will thank me lol
