as an adult i feel we'd be MORE easily scared, since as kids we're liable to think things are imaginary, but as adults we hear a noise and we're like, well that's probably not good. Also, imagine a real life version of Mike coming at you. I imagine he'd be similar to the texture of a frog, about the size of a four year old with one giant veiny eyeball. I would tap out immediately.

When I was little I had nightmares about Monsters Inc and none of my nightmares ever involved Sully. All of them involved giant eyeballs. I didn’t even know to be freaked out by eyeballs until… him.

This movie is soooooo underrated. It's along the same vein as Soul, when they remind you just because your life doesn't go the way you planned, doesn’t make everything you went through is worthless.

Except Soul makes everything go as planned, to the point of rescirrecting a character becausr they didn't have the guts to make death final. It was a gross ripoff of Coco and couldn't even portray death in a way that helped us handle it. Part of the happily ever after is Coco dying.

Sorry if I don't go gaga over a jazz movie with no menorable songs, which is about the inevitability of life and death and the joys of mediocrity yet last minute chases a cowardly happily ever after by resurrecting a character to follow their dream, which mistakes hobbies for an endless chase of a dream and implies you will get severe depression if you spend too mich time doing things you find fun instead of being an extrovert. And its depiction of the afterlife as a fly zapper, or how it brags that personalities don't just come out of nowhere by making them come out of passing through gates arbitrarily instead. It's a big hot mess of rubbish.

I love the message of this movie it's so unique, it's so cliche to do the hard work beats talent movie. This movie was deeper, this movie said sometimes talent does beat hard work, but hard workers can still find a place to be useful and live a fulfilling life, while also showing that having talent isn't all it's cracked up to be because the higher expectations can make you stressed and scared of not living up to them.

I went to see this movie in the cinema SO many times when it came out. Once I went with my best friend, other times were on my own. We were both already adults but it didn't make us love the film any less. It became our movie in a way and sure made me think a lot about the ups and downs we've lived through ever since we met. Still friends to this day. This movie will always be one of my favorites, I'm sure. It left such an impression.

tbh i like university better than the first one-but also you gotta react to bambi 1 and 2. like, the first one's a classic, and the second one's severely underrated. No fight promised at the beginning which you get excited for happens, leaving eternal didsatisfaction, and the whole world is based around a fantasy geography mistake of thinking rivers split instead of merge. Somebody will call me super negative because this is my second comment here criticising a movie but that would be more the fault of the comments for only being about recent mass produced movies not worth your while. Disney buys some of you guys way too easily with their mass produced junk. All they need to do is pretend like they care about representing non-white cultures and they have people in the bag. To show true respect for them, watch movies from that country, rather than letting all money funnel to Disney by default.

People started saying that on a meme level the year before Frozen came out. They had infiltrated pop culture with free advertising once they started acting like Illumination and playing it safe.
