Nice to see you could make it real after years of dreaming. Now you got a nice and strong Sim pit in your house. I wish i had more space in my room for that. I am very satisfied with my 3 desk mounts from Monstertech since 2019. They are indeed of very good quality.

Hahahaha. What's funny is I considered getting an under the desk treadmill as well! Would definitely help give me some extra exercise when playing games lol

Thank you for posting this video 🎥🍿🍺🇺🇸👍. You have a new subscriber 🎉. Keep up the great 👍 work. I don’t have a computer 🖥️ right now. But I have always loved space games. By the end of this year. I hope to have my own computer 🖥️. Right after that I will be getting my own. Flight slim tech equipment myself.

I have two simple Monstertech desk mounts for my Thrustmasters joysticks (T16000 + Warthog) that I have improved with a fix pin and a hole in the desk, and the results are to notch. Very rigid and perfect height for 6DoFs Star Citizen flying.

@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
Yeah I know what you mean. The Wooden setup I built actually ended up costing me north of like $300. My feelings were pretty mixed because it liked using it, but it cost more than what I wanted to spend. But desk mounts are always a great solution

I looked and found it cost far to much for me. I did get their desk mounts and keyboard and mouse left and right mount too. then made / modified my old desk ( just used the top ) and purchase some aluminium the same that Monstertech use to frame out the desk top and legs so that the monstertech kit could bolt straight to it giving be a solid desk and set up. this is limited as my keyboard sits in between the 2 virpil sticks and the mouse pad on the right is a little to far right but I play FPS games like that without any problems. the left mouse pad is going to used for a tablet holder for GameGlass as I only fly Star Citizen lol my FPS game isn't competitive and only play for fun far too old for that stuff bf2042 is enough for me LOL. I will say I was well impressed by the packaging and how the Monstertech products come very well made and nice feel . even though the mouse mat is way to much just to fit the pad but it looks good LOL
@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
Yeah it took me a bit of time to save up for the the main pieces I wanted as well. The desk mounts I had were just some knock off brand. So I bet if I had bought Monstertechs it would have been a much better solution. All that matters is if your setup works for you then that's all that matters! They definitely have great products fora wide range of budgets. And they'll all definitely last for many years. More years than most desks you by if you ask me.

I have the monster tech gaming chair. I have my virpils attached to it but they’re kind of uncomfortable to teach. I’m 180lb and 5’10. Don’t think I’m too small for it but may the mounts aren’t too long?
@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
The monstertech chairs are really nice. Not sure about the chair mount though. Perhaps they need further adjustment? They should be pretty adjustable to make them easier to reach. I'd highly recommend getting on MT's discord and ask them how you can make them more comfortable to reach

i have wanted to have a good flight sim setup ever since i got into SC years ago, but unfortunately, getting something like what you have is near impossible for me right now as the country i live in would tax me HEAVILY to order something like that. so DIY is in my future

That's unfortunate. It honestly took me some time to save up for, but was very rewarding in the end.

I feel like I'd buy this, then my laziness would get the better of me and I'd go back to the mouse and KB so I don't have to move my arms as much lol.

Lol, well what's great is that it will evolve with you when your games change.
@BGIANAKy2 ай бұрын
Does the rig hold a 49 32:9 monitor without tilting it? Or a bigger screen?
@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
The monitor mounts will hold up to a 50 or 55 inch screen without any issues. You can either get the monitor mount as a part of the rig itself, or you can get it as it's own separate stand. In case you want to make it extra secure by bolting it into the wall.
@BGIANAKy2 ай бұрын
I’d love to get this but after master modes. What’s the point?
@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
Simple answer, because it won't matter what game you use it for. What ever game replaces Star Citizen if it's unsuccessful, DCS, flight simulator, and others. Even FPS games are comfortable with the setup. Regardless, I honestly believe master modes will get better as they make changes to it and fix its issues.
@arcadealchemist2 ай бұрын
it's OVERPRICED
@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
Not at all. I did a lot of research before I bought it. I calculated all of the pieces I would need, and all of the exact measurements. Turns out it was within $50 of buying the pieces separately. But when you factor in the specialized mounts you're getting, it ends up being a better option.
@josiahfryman70152 ай бұрын
@@Hav0k I tried looking into sourcing the big profiles independently through machine shops and a local metal supplier etc as well and there were simply no savings to be had even considering shipping. Ive been impressed with my monstertech chair and I fully expect that to occur here when the full rig is delivered as well.
@Hav0k2 ай бұрын
@josiahfryman7015 yeah it was actually pretty incredible to find out that they're actually really well priced for what you're getting. And it will last you a very long time. I can't wait to get the chair for this thing. I hear such great things about them.

It seems that way, but being a flight sim pilot is expensive. The high end equipment is made of seriously strong and authentic components, in addition to all the electronics. There’s a strong physical element in what we do. Flying and simulating a real cockpit involves the weight of our whole bodies, plus our muscle strength. That means it needs to be strong as well with the right amount of flexibility. And it also needs to be incredibly sensitive and fine tuned to react to the smallest micro adjustments. On top of that it needs to be durable to stand up to years of heavy use. Imagine how tough (and expensive!) it is to design real aircraft for use in battle! To me flight sim isn’t that expensive from my point of view. I don’t smoke, and I’ve been sober for over 21 years so this is a safe and healthy thing to spend my money on. The amount I used to spend on cigarettes alone is absolutely bonkers. So I’m totally cool with spending a few k on a sim pit. Plus it doubles as an awesome workstation, cubby, and desk. I’ve been saving up to buy an MT rig all year.
