Thanks for sharing Curt. Very good info sir. I worry about those dang check balls. What holds them in place so they come rolling out when removing and handling the valve body? Cheers from Motown!

We use assembly lube to hold them in place

@@MonsterTransmission Ahhhh of course! thank you!! Having trouble with my C-6 manual reverse valve body with trans brake. Shift pattern is 1-2-1. WTH? linkage adjusted right, trans is clean and has been well maintained and not abused. I have heard of 3rd gear becoming reverse but not 1st. Any Ideas? Thank again Curt, appreciate you.

Can you comment on Castrol Synthetic Dex VI trans fluid. Is it good for trans ?

Always use type F fluid in a C-6 unless otherwise directed by a professional transmission builder. Thanks.
