It might be a tuff fight if rodan manages to stay in the air. But Kong is a lot larger, heavier and has gotten enough battle experience to take on rodan. Rodan best bet is to stay in air and try to use his talons but he needs get close enough and kong can most likely destroy him on ground in close combat with axe or beast glove

Rodans hard is alot harder to peirce, kong is fur skin while rodan is purely molten rock which is extremely difficult to peirce, godzilla peirced kongs skin by scratching him while mothra struggled to get her peircer through rodans hide, if i dont believe me look up the fight.

Kong doesn’t have any armor. Rodan’s skin is much tougher and is composed of a thick armor that can withstand high temperatures of extreme heat. Kong, on the other hand literally roared in agony after getting a whiff of Godzilla’s atomic breath and instantly shed blood after coming into contact with helicopter blades in the 2017 film. Rodan is much more durable. He literally emerged from a volcano and is capable of staying submerged and flowing through the extreme heat of the lava completely unfazed.
