Need a quick pick-me-up while you're on campus? Take advantage of the mountain we're right next to! Here's a great workout that you can do to relax and re-energize.
The workout:
1. 10 deep breaths
2. Warm up! Try a progressive run starting with an easy stroll, then a speed walk, and then a higher-intensity jog. The goal is to start sweating.
3. Static stretching to help prevent injury
4. Alternate between running/sprinting for 30-45 seconds and walking/jogging for 30s. Adjust the intensity and repetitions depending on how your body feels.
5. Try running or walking up and down the Mont Royal steps.
6. Ankle exercises to prevent injury
7. Stretch and cool down by walking home or back to campus
8. Enjoy the rest of your day!
